I'm getting my nose pierced this week. It's going to be $30 including the jewelery and I was wondering if I should also tip the person and how much. I'm doing it at a tattoo parlor in New York.

if you feel comfortable throughout the experience, definitely tip. as quickly as it may go, there are a lot of places where someone can mess up, so a job well done deserves a tip. if you go back to the piercer, they'll be more likely to remember you and hook you or your friends up in the future too, which is always a bonus. what's an extra $10 anyways for some good karma brah.

Absolutley you should. Are you going to village pop? They're good there. Because it is just an easy piercing like your nose $35 is enough, if the guy or girl makes you feel really comfortable and you particularly like the service throw in some more but $35 is pretty standard.

I don't tip.
Only because my piercer won't let me.
He usually cuts 10-20 dollars off my piercing price because I've always gone to him (with the exception of a messed up belly button, but I went to him to fix it once I turned 18.)

But if you don't see your piercer twice a month like I do, then I'd say DEF tip.
It's rude not to.
I tipped mine the fist few times I went.
But after that, he doesn't let me. Haha.
