I always thought that "going for a drink" means more than that but i'm just wondering now

Ah, the atypical female worry when asked, "You want to come in for a last call drink, (nightcap...or whatever the hell it's called today). Ladies, it's one thing to be sensibly cautious; completely another--ridiculously--to be paranoid...which may and has been known to, ruin a potential relationship.
I ask a girl in for a 'last call' drink, it's nothing more than that....unless....SHE has OTHER plans in mind (and this HAS happened a time or two).

If a guy or girl accepts an invitation to "come in for a drink," then they know what they really came in for. The next most obviuos, is, "come look at the art colection in my bedroom..."
The 2% who really don't, are either dense or naive, and deserve to get into an awkward situation, if for no other reason than to leanr for the next time.

if she accepts your invitation it usually means she is willing to get closer to you this is one more step in the process of getting closer and building trust if you make a move for sex she might accept or not but the important thing is listen to what she is saying. and dont force the issue it will happen naturally.

yup it means just that. we want to hook up with the girl cuz drinks are usually alcoholic so yea. i know its sleazy and i dont do it, but i know a lot of guys that do so yea.

to me thats all it is a sociable drink --- i must admit that i have never invited a lady for a drink but then im kinda slow when it comes to relationship (and im only 54)
