hott are those ultra sexy girls who other guys go nuts over.
cute are those sweet, bubbly, cheerful type of girls, the ones always smiling, the ones who see nothing wrong with wearing jeans and jersey and thinking thats cool...i love cute ppl!

once I had a dilemma between a hot girl and a cute girl. I decided I wanted the cute girl. but she decided she didn't want me. and the hot girl decieded she wanted me. so I enjoyed what I got to the best of my ability. we are still friends to this day 7 years later, though she's not my gf anymore, and though the cute girl and I had a pretty brutal falling out.
it all depends on which charms you the most. I am more vulnerable to a girly girl cuting it up. not everybody is the same way. some guys are more vulnerable to the sparkle and flash of a hot girl.
but, as in my case, sometimes the thing you like the most in the opposite sex is exactly what you can't have.

i would rather have a girl that is really cute, as opposed to being really hot. Hotness is shallow, but cuteness also defines personality.

Aren't they the same? If you mean hot, as in a hot body, as apposed to having a cute face, then a hot body is my choice.

I've dated (and shared fondly recalled adventures) with both....and to me, I go for the really hot cutie girl; a unique girl of 'wildflower' spirit.
Bonus points if she hates BOTH "reality" TV AND chick flicks.
