find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and that's how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, ice cream, candy etc) and nothing fried in lots of oil.
you can spoil yourself once in a while, of-course:)

There are no "fad diets" that will help you lose weight and keep it off. There is no "quick and easy way." The only sure-fire way to lose weight is to change your lifestyle. Diets are only temporary, exercise is required.
I was never one to exercise myself until I did tons of research looking for a "magic cure" such as yourself.
I tried Atkins, and I lost a lot of weight, and fast. Unfortunately such an extreme diet is not feasible to maintain a healthy balance of nutrients that your body needs.
Look for ways of exercise that you enjoy. Get an MP3 player and fill it with your favorite songs. Then take long walks. There, now you're just listening to music and spending quality time with yourself. What you don't realize is that you're EXERCISING!

I know it's easy to say "limit your calories." Doing it is another thing. Read labels, follow the recommended daily intakes on them. Do a little mix-and-matching and you can find great snacks that you enjoy, with very little calories.

If you don't have a scale... GET ONE! It's the only way to monitor your progress. Set weekly goals for yourself. Starting out, I had over 60 lbs. to lose, so I set myself to lose 3 lbs. a week. When you start meeting these goals, it gives you an ecstatic feeling of accomplishment!

I hope I don't sound preachy, and I know most of this you've heard before... but it's true. From someone who has tried every "fad diet" known to man, and tried so hard to skip the exercise part, trust me.

Since you're only 14, you don't entirely want to starve yourself, because your metabolism will totally stop working.
What you should do is eat roughly about 950 calories per day, whatever you choose including a cup of green tea a day, and exercise 30-45 minutes every other day. I highly recommend jogging, and doing 10 minute strengh training along with the exercise. I've tried this and lost about 30 lbs so far. Good luck!
