If, I said IF he dies for the sake of Allah (Shaheed) Allah will reward him with a certain number, I dont know the number of virgins in heaven. Whats the hangup on this for non believers?More importantly he is in the highest heaven with all of Allah's prophets and the prophet Mohammed will give him a drink that he will never ever be thirsty again. It's my understanding to be 7 when they die as a martyr so they focus totally on doing evil and nothing else. There are other promises as well. It's really sorry that they have taken in such lies because their end is death n hell only.

you have to take it in context if I say "like I said a thousand times before..." obviously I don't mean literaly a thousand times the # 72 in arabic culture is like the word a thousand in our culture, it is equivalent to saying thousands of virgins in our culture , this is not in the koran it is in another Islamic text

All I know is that the believers will enter paradise with their wives/spouses, and Koran never mention how many virgins would they have.
Enter Paradise, together with your spouses, and rejoice. (Holy Koran 43:70)
