First terrorist will bomb the oil wells (GASS PRICES WOULD GO UP)

Everyone that helped the U.S. would be killed!

terrorist would not needed to defend the homeland so they would be free to come back to the U.S. and keep bombing.

9/11 every day!!! :)

The democrats would be happy!!!

All the U.S. soldiers that died in Iraq will have died in vain.

Hay don't get me wrong I am all for ending this war but we need a plan. The democrats don't have any other then waveing white flags all around. If we don't get a plan everything I listed up top will come true. Is that what we really want?

I think the daily bombings would stop. Every day, it seems, 20 or 30 people are blown to pieces, and twice that many end up in the hospital. Every day! We as a nation are collectively moved and the president makes a personal appearance at the events following the Virginia Tech shooting. This is an every day occurrence in Iraq! How could it be any worse if we just left? If the Shiites start on a campaign of ethnic cleansing the U.S. can always step in again, but why not give peace a chance first? Actually, if the Shiites are forced to fend for themselves and take on the Sunnis, then they will be doing what American soldiers are dying for now - it is mostly the Sunnis that are waging this disgusting war of killing innocents in the first place.

It would be CHAOS with the various secratarian groups KILLING innocent civilians to gain personal power to pursue their personal agenda as the replacement of Saddam.

I find the whole deal interesting that you have Muslims killing innocent Muslims because of their THOUGHTS and religious beliefs or maybe sects killing sects for NO real purpose but to cause discord; I just find it beyond comprehension.

Catholics killing Protestants (Ireland) to make a point that i just do NOT understand! You worship her so lets just blow you all up becaue you don't think the way that WE do; WHAT THE F*** is UP WITH THAT?

The US pulls out and then the war esculates exponentially with Syria, Iran and the rest attempting to take control of a NUTS situation to increase their WEALTH and POWER at the expense of the LOWER CLASS.

The US made a VALIANT attempt to free the Iraqi people and bring some level of comfort to the abused lower classes. We simply ended up in the middle of a civil war with those resiting POSITIVE change; VERY similar to the US's Civil WAR and SLAVERY.

It is in the Middle Eastern Culture to have a two-class system (see India) and they are FIGHTING POSITIVE CHANGE so that the TOP CLASS can still have their SLAVES. See yahoo news for a story about a guy that BEHEADED an employee (slave) becuase he didn't milk the cows!

We are simply fighting a change in CULTURE where women are possessions, slaves are dispossable for the slightest infraction while the OWNERS of PEOPLE live the HIGH LIFE!

I suppose that it was our DUTY!

I think if we pulled out too soon, Iraq would be a big mess and we'd end up only going back again. I don't think pulling out yet would help much. We do need to get out of Iraq but I don't think we should until Iraq can fend for itself.

If we pull out of Iraq right now...the government there will collapse. Civil war will break out and continue until one side prevails through the use of strength and domination. The side that is willing to be most brutal and do things that the other isn't willing to do will prevail. It will only end when there is a dictactor who is able and willing to squash any threats against his regime.

reasons for this are
1. the people aren't united by being Iraqi. Most see themselves as Persians, Babylonians, Ottoman, Ayrian, Yaziddi, Kurdish, Assyrian, and a few others. and most hate anybody that isn't of their nationality.
2. The people of Iraq aren't united through a common religion.
in iraq you have
A)Shiite Muslim
B) Sunni Muslim
C)Christian
D)Catholic
E)Jewish
F)Hindu
G)Yazidi
and again most hate anyone not of their religion
3.Clans. They are futher divided by clans made up of several families. often times the clans are at war with each other because of disputes that go back hundreds of years and hate most people not in their clan. You also have families fighting other families for control of the clans.

Even having said all of that..I'm still not sure wether us staying there is in our best intrest or wether we should pull out.

I do know that for all of our talk of bringing the Freedom to the Iraqi people....If we pull out now, with things as they are...we will in fact be taking that freedom away from them and leaving them at the mercy of whomever comes to power.

I served there for over a year and sometimes I think that only a dictatorship will be able to bring any sort of stability to the region...amd it pains me to say that. because I have seen the tears of joy in grown men and women when we rolled up in their town..and the looks of new found hope for the future on their faces.

right now the number of iraqi's who are friendly to the U.S. in Iraq greatly out number those that are hostile. I would say roughly 16% Hostile 70% friendly and the rest undecided.
but if we pull out and leave those 70% at the mercy of the 16% then those who are our friends now..will quickly become our enemies as well. We, the United States would in fact be hypocrites to them...speaking of freedom and protecting the weak..and then turning our backs on them. The 16% being much more heavily armed then everyone else.

Honestly I think it's a no win situation for us at the moment unless we stay the course and see stability in Iraq.
I want to see my fellow brothers come home as much as anyone else.

I think that Iran would try to take control by force and by using propaganda.

I think the Kurds and the Sunni's are in trouble if that happens. And they will hate us for leaving and never want to listen to us in the future.

Now the oil will be in control of the Shite's. There may be a hudge civil war that rages on, genocide, and more of the same stuff like Israel/Palestine.

We'll end up having to go back inside and it will be even harder to deal with as we lost our footing and respect.

Karzai might want to probable do not something and allow the Taliban retake Afghanistan. Iran might want to probable create a powerful nuclear application. Chaos.

All hell will break loose. And I don't have a problem with that. They put religious bigotry ahead of their own success as a people. Let them sort it out in their own murderous way. Of course the mainstream Iraqi people could also grow a spine, and run all the terrorists and jihadists out. If they don't have the stomach to do it for themselves, Then were just wasting the precious lives of our sons and daughters.

simple...a big mess!

since we are keeping the bad guys occupied over there...and if we withdraw then they are free to move on to their next targets, which are regional governments, thus say good bye to governments over there friendly to us and progressive like the ones in Bahrain, UAE, even the Saudi monarchy....

they would be toppled and extremists regimes will take power, so say hello to 6 or 7 gallons of gas per dollars...or worse..!

not only that we will be looked upon as big cowards, having ran away from a fight...again! (first time was Nam)

so .... we warned!

I think they should have left Saddam in charge as he was the only one that kept those people in control.
They have always been fighting in the middle east and they always will be fighting. Its a religious war so they will never stop fighting.
We need to leave there, give them back their country and tell them to take care of themselves.
