Our BBQ sauce has been out a couple days. It's a screwtop bottle that wasn't very tightly closed. Is this still ok to eat, or should I not?

Yes, needs to be refridgerated. Lots of sugar in BBQ sauce that can grow little nasties. Never leave anything out for a total of more than four hours!

PS...open ketchup is not shelf stable either!

fish fry sauce is solid for a pair of 365 days and a a million/2 and Tabasco sauce is a robust carry at 5 years. some products have a protracted shelf existence unopened yet then take a pointy drop the 1st time you employ them. Take soy sauce, unopened it somewhat is solid for 2 years, yet as quickly as that cap has been opened you could desire to apply it in 3 months.

It's probably okay. This about it this way, BBQ sauce has almost the same ingredients as ketchup, and you can always leave ketchup out. BBQ sauce is probably only recommended to be chilled for freshness.

The bottle most likley says "refrigerate after opening" not "leave out for a couple days with the cap loose"!
I doubt you will get sick, but you can do what ever you want.

You should, but in my house my sons use it as a dip and it doesn't last long enough to get to the refrigerator.

YES! After it has been opened you need to keep it in the fridge or it will go bad and be very gross!

you should definitely toss it, once you have opened it and broke the seal it needs to be refrigerated.
