Yes, if you put the lemon juice on your hair, then go into the sunshine, will lighten your hair but you will need a good conditioner as this can be very drying for your hair. Vinegar does the same but doesn't smell as nice.

the acid in the lemon opens the cuticles. lemons can strip the hair of all old products. making it seem lighter.
but makes the hair very dry!
SUN IN is also very drying & is hair dye.
It is peroxide and water it opens the cuticles.but it doesn't
close it back up. it can leave any one with light brown to dark very red and brassy.
any thing you put in the hair will change the makeup of the hair.
If you are Blonde just being in the sun will make it lighter.
good luck!!

Because lemons are highly acidic...they strip your hair of it's natural oil not unlike sprits and mousse. When you strip the hair this way it drys out the hair really bad which can lead to split ends...and of couse sitting out in the sun while you've already damaged your hair only makes it worse...so your ends split more, and the damaged hair gives the appearence of lighter hair...So while you think you're hair is cute because it's so light, it's just being damaged...yes Lemons do make your hair lighter without dying, but it also causes your hair to rip itself to shreds...

There is a product "Sun-In Hair Lightener"...It will lighten your hair without using harsh chemicals and it doesn't damage your hair...

Lemon juice if you sit out in the sun or are out doors after applying it (or use a blow dryer inside) will naturally lighten-highlight your hair making it lighter...I used to use it in high school my hair when I was 16 became light brown and with lemon juice was blonde again after a few days out in the sun with lemon juice.

Peroxide and Sun in will turn your hair orange.

The citric acid in the lemon helps to bleach your hair...so to speak, but it is natural. You do have to have help from the sun or heat for it to work.

Good luck!

I mix peroxide in a spray bottle with a litte water and spray my daughters hair in the summer it looks like its been highlighted she had dark browwn hair so it would probably lighten blonde hair.

You can use this product called Sun In its in a spray bottle and you can spray it on your hair and go out in the sun and it will lighten it or sit under a dryer.

Yeah it fairly works. that is slow. because that is contains citric acid, it slowly strips the shade out. it would want to dry out your hair like a number of different bleaching agent, yet using a conditioner with the juice might want to easily dilute it.

Lemon Juice will only lighten your hair if you sit out in the sun or use your hairdryer immediately after application. You can also buy Sun-In. It does the same thing.

However, any product that lightens your hair will also dry it out.
