I just purchased a 30 blank Memorex DVDs from Walmart, from the day i started to burn movies on those Memorex blank DVDs, i just keep have the same problems, the burning process was good, but when i take it to play on my home DVD player, and every minute, it just keep freezed and then played. And when i used ConvertXtoDVD from VSO, it the last 5 seconds of burning, it just froze there, i have to press eject on my computer DVD writer for it to come out ( the program keeps saying not responding at those last 5 seconds of burning). Not just that, when i used Nero to burn CD, at about 50% of process, it just appeared a message "fixation failed". Those blanks CD and DVDs i have tell you about are from Memorex. Is there any problems with my DVD burner, or is it just the brand of blank CDs and DVDs, is Memorex a good brand of blank CDs and DVDs? If not, please tell me either how to fix those kind of problems or should i just find another brand of blank CDs and DVDs?
Thank you.

Borrow a blank disc from a known user with good burn. Test that on your burner and see if it burns well then take the disc and play it at his house. The trick here is you have to find what's wrong with your burner/player. Not all player will support your DVD recorder.

For example, my player only plays DVD+R and it doesn't play well with DVD-R. I head a SONY burner that burned well but it always gave bad disc toward the end of the movie. I always thought it was the media but had the same problem with different media. Later I just replaced the burner and problem went away. So it's not just the media but it can be burner or player or both.

The problem could very well be in your burner, not in the discs themselves. A DVD is only as good as the information burned to it. I'm guessing these CDs AND DVDs were all burned on the same burner, and that's what makes me think it has nothing to do with the discs.

Goto dell's website and seem for the help website and then the driving force downloads. verify and notice if something is listed for the dvd burner including firmware replace for it to enhance certainly one of those media it could burn to. it could additionally be that yourpersistent is beginning off to fail if the dvds you're attempting to apply are freed from records and unfastened scratches and imperfections.

STAY AWAY FROM MEMOREX!!!! THEY SUCK!!! I would recommend either TDK or Verbatim. I have had very little if any problems with both brands.
