What you need is protein and moisture. I would stay away from anything that has silicones for now as well, since those will block out moisture and not really heal the damage (no PANTENE!!! that stuff is loaded with silicones).
To check for silicones, check the ingredients: does it end with -cone, such as dimethicone or -xane, such as cyclopentasiloxane? If so, then these will make hair feel soft, but not do much repairing. I would recommend using Nexxus Emergencee very soon. It is a reconstructer so it will reinforce the keratin bonds with your hair and really make it strong, but not neccesarily soft. For that, follow it with Nexxus's Humectress or Keraphix. All Nexxus products contain Nexxus spheres - which have tons of hair essential nutrients. If you don't like this line though, I would go with TIGI's Oatmeal and Honey shampoo and conditioner. It's not as healing and strong, but it smells good and liter sizes are cheap. And a leave in hair moisturizer/conditioner would help too - you need all the conditioning you can get now.
Also, NO HEAT STYLING! No irons, curlers, or blow dryers. Air drying may be a pain but it is virtually damage free, assuming you don't rough up your hair towel drying it - remember to only pat it dry.
As other members have said, good cuts, frequently, and not messing with your hair will keep it good. Be sure to get help soon so that split ends don't occur.
A really good hair forum can be found at makeupalley.com, but you must first register to seem them. A lot of the members there (myself included) know all about this stuff.

The first thing you need to do is stop dying your hair. There is nothing you can about your damaged hair. Try shampooing and conditioning it with a good shampoo, like Purology. If your hair was naturally black you should let it grow out without coloring it again. I had fried my own hair and had to go to a hairdresser to fix it. My hair was naturally black. I was trying to save money by doing it myself. Unfortunately, when I would do my roots, I was getting lazy and coloring my whole head. She used a product called Cellophane. I have been told this is no longer available but I am sure their is something else. A professional can help you with this. Also, get your hair cut as short as you can stand.
Did your hair turn orange?

Don't touch your hair anymore, wrap it in a scarf or hat and get to a salon immediately, preferably one that you know has a good reputation. If your hair can be salvaged they will put a deep conditioning treatment on it. They will probably cut off some but it's better than having to wear a wig for months until it grows out, and if it is conditioned enough they can probably do a color correction for you, be ready to shell out some dough though.

You must stop the bleach pronto... You can end up with mushy slimy hair, Get it cut short and get some hot oil treatments on it and LEAVE it alone for a few months until it grows out. Get it frosted at a much later date,, Forget the Bleach....

I am sorry for you :(
I am sure u do not want to cut your hair so i tink you should turn to saloon hair products because the ones found in supermarket do not solve any problem.
One of the best treatments is Joico K-pak treatment. For best results you should get tha shampoo, conditioner and treatment.
Also, there are Kerastase products that are realy good. You should try Bain Satin.
Despite the fact these products are more expensive, they will save your hair!
Good luck!

First, cut off what you will. Then get a deep conditioner, wet hair, apply. Put hair on top of your head and wrap a large plastic baggy or saran wrap around your hair. Leave it for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Then wash and condition. Get Arbonne's skin conditioning oil and apply on the ends of your hair as much as neccessary.

Yup, go to the hair stylist and ask for help. They'll probably give you a little trim, but I doubt that there is anything by time that will fix your hair catastrophe. Buy a wig or wear a cap. I don't know. Good luck

Don't do anything except condition and gently blow dry on a very low heat to smooth the friz.
You need to let it grow out before you do any more processing, or it could easily break off.
Go to a salon and get some extra-strength conditioner, like K-Pac. Also, get some advice about follow up treatments.

Immediately start putting treatments and hot oil through your hair to try and put some moisture back. You will need to have your hair trimmed about an inch and half to remove the immediate dead ends and splits, and continue to trim your hair every three to four weeks to rejuvinate and instigate growth.
