It's a toss up between Bell and Edison. One was an athiest and the other was agnostic. Another great scientist was Einstein and he was born Jewish, but he was an agnostic too.
Man, I'd never thought about this before!

Who "our"? ... Einstein in *my* time. Now Hawking. (But I have a penchant for physicists.) ... Also consider Feynman, Dawkins, Weinberg. AISI, there's a fairly hefty Jewish and Athieist among many top scientists, but no specific cite.
