As long as she is a material being and not immaterial! Give her a good hug - if she is okay with it!

Why not? That is the same as asking if any 2 people in this world can touch in a nonsexual way.
I work with and have as friends many nuns and priests. We hug, we touch each other just as I do with friends and coworkers who are not nuns and priests.

The fact remains that the Western World is dominated by Protestantism and Secularism, ESPECIALLY in the media where youths are exposed to a compromising way of thinking (in terms of the modern standards mentioned here), including Birth Control (first allowed by protestants). Once the birth control issue was eased within the protestant community, it simply culminated in a "domino" effect including sexual promiscuity, gay marriage, the culture of death, abortion, gender confusion, the role of women, etc. which has permeated throughout the Western World. If the Catholic Church does not stand for what she always has, then the world would truly be lost. Young Catholics need to have better Catechesis, also. They need to understand why the Church teaches what she does and understand just how dangerous the trap of moral relativism can be. Young Catholics need to be taught to be apologists from very early on, I think. They need to be prepared to defend their faith--not compromise or become more flexible to meet the changing standards of society. In fact, they need to become obstinante against it.

What do you mean? Of course you can touch them and they can touch you, they're not made of glass you know. Just don' t grab them or be innapropriate, like with any other woman. If you have questions they are usually really nice and happy to answer, you would be surprised at how sweet they really are, not mean and crusty like in the movies. I should know, I went to a Catholic all-girls school for 5 years, I only came home on weekends so those women were like second mothers to me.

Of course it's OK, if she's comfortable with it. I've got several friends who are nuns, and we've hugged each other during the Sign of Peace at Mass or afterwards. I've even kissed my friend Sister Agnes on the cheek, just like I would have kissed my grandma's cheek.
Nuns are just people, and a lot of them are very kind and affectionate. Just depends on the person and how well they know you, like any other situation.

I'm sorry but what kind of question is this?
A nun is a person no different than you or I. Where did you get this idea?

Depends if she is a contemplative or not. If she is, then your answer is no. If she isn't, then yes.
I work at a convent and have daily interaction with nuns and sisters all day long, and I am a "normal" person (a lay-person, not a priest or a deacon).

Yes they can. My grandmother knew a nun who went on vacation and drank and gambled and sunbathed with a bunch of other vacationing nuns. They can be touched and hugged and show affection just as a mother would show towards her children.

Sure. If she does not object to it. I have a nun friend and sometimes we let our cheeks touch to express our feelings.
Peace and every blessing!

Yes, she can shake hands or hug a friend or use any of the normal everyday interpersonal expressions of friendship and affection. She is a person after all.
