Prayer is like talking to someone for me. It's like talking to a friend, my father, my mother, my brother, my sister. What's different is that you do all the talking. Nope, the one you're talking to is a powerful being. But this does not cross my mind sometimes because I think I am talking to a friend here who can keep secrets and listen to anything I say.

Prayer is simply a conversation, whenever I say thank you to God, it's like saying thank you to a friend. When I say sorry to him, it's like saying sorry to a parent who got disappointed because I forgot his/her birthday.

When a person becomes real close to God, prayer would be a lot less complicated. It becomes a chat. And he actually listens. We have a whole lifetime to chat with him from quite a long distance. Hanging out with him in Heaven would be great if we'd be close to him here on Earth.

God bless! Always!

Prayer means to me that I`m talking to God.Most of the time asking for different things and to thank him also for many things.I don`t believe we have to be in any one position or any special place,God hears you if you pray out loud or in your mind.As far as looking ,yes some times you get on your knees, sometimes you stand and bow your head and sometimes others might not even know your praying by the way you look.

Prayer is communication with God. Talking about the good things, the bad things, the problems and the blessings. We are to be thankful, confess our sins, ask for forgiveness, and beg for mercy. We are also to ask God to help others in need such as health problems, injuries, financial troubles, marriage problems, family problems and personal request people may have asked you to pray about. We should ask God to reveal his will or desires for us. Ask God what it is He wishes for us to do. We should pray for our family. We should pray for our friends. We should pray for our co-workers. We should pray for those that defend our country such as soldiers, policemen and firemen. We should pray for those that teach young children. We should pray for parents. We should pray for the children of our world. Prayer should not be a ritual. Prayer should not be half hearted. Prayer should not be in emergency cases only. We should not use prayer for our selfish wants and desires. I AM SURE I LEFT SOMETHING OUT!!!

Prayer to me means asking for protection for myself and those I love. I normally say and think protective thoughts while envisioning loved ones surrounded by peaceful, healing white light. I usually have something special I say, sometimes I ask God, and sometimes it's just a visualization.

Edited: I can't for the life of me understand why someone would negative rate the answer to an OPINION question. Seriously, get a life!

Prayer to me is the pure desires of the heart for me. I'm not sure what it looks like. I guess that depends on your religious beliefs or lack thereof. When I pray I just ask all that's good and pure in the universe to be with me.

I Pray to my Lord God in the Name of Jesus! It is my time with my Lord. It is my communication with my Lord. Many (not all) of my Prayers DO get answered - Praise Jesus!

Be at Peace - Grace to You - Take Care and God Bless!

What a wonderful question. Religion is, of course, the form that one's worship takes. Thus there are thousands of forms. Religion includes a system of religious beliefs and practices. The object of the religion may be false gods or the true God. Hence, there is false religion and there is true. Religion can get very fancy or remain simple. In the former case, such as it is today. In the latter case, such as it was in the Garden of Eden. What then is worship to me? How do I worship? To worship means to obey. And to obey means to worship. The two are intimately connected; indeed, they are coterminous and cannot be separated. Specifically, to obey the Sovereign Lord God Jehovah of Armies is to worship Him. I do my imperfect best in this regard. I fall on my face and get back up to try and try again. In the Garden of Eden, so long as they obeyed Jehovah, Adam and Eve were worshiping him. No temple, no Mosaic Law, no meetings. Simply leave the tree of the knowledge of good and bad alone. Simple. The minute they disobeyed, they stopped worshiping Jehovah. Same with the nation of Israel. The minute they attempted to practice a syncretistic religion they stopped worshiping Jehovah. The minute they made the golden calf, they stopped. And on and on. To worship is to obey. To obey is to worship. Hannah J Paul

Communication. I converse with God. We are talking. You can talk with your heart and in your mind, your lips, and out loud. You can kneel, sit, stand, lay down, walk, run and do things while praying. I pray anywhere at any time.
