Cool question, you can see in the answers that the theisticals have nothing. Funny to watch their tiny little minds do their mental gymnastics.

The evidence for Gods existence is not all based on scripture. Very little of the evidence for a single creator being is in scripture. In fact, God does not need to prove his existence at all. He does want you to believe though and the Bible is a great place to start looking.
An honest look at nature should do the trick. If not that, look at the universe. How about a single human cell or the existence of water here on earth.

Scripture is vital for without it we wouldn't know about Jesus Christ. Paul was chosen to bring us this message. The bible is so full of truth for those who give it a serious chance, but there are other obvious evidences of God. Just the fact that we are communicating the way we are right now is a huge miracle that we just take for granted. I am amazed by all of creation like my dogs and little kids and television(high definition, no less). Humans could not create anything that our creator didn't give us the ability to create.

I am not sure if you believe in miracles because you are even doubting God's true existence. Well, when you ask muslims what their evidences are for Allah's existence, they'll answer you the same way we, Christians, will answer you. Just one word. Faith. To have Faith, a person must have knowledge on the God he/she believes in. Then it leads to believing. Eventually, faith. I think this can apply to any faithfuls no matter who their God might be.
I suppose I am not giving you material evidences here because all that made Christianity survive for nearly 2000 years is faith. And that's a wonderful miracle already.
God bless! Always!

Wait! It isn't! I admit, there's enough there, but it's not my fault that people do not value it.
My real basis of evidence is personal. god let me know that He is there. And scripturally I can show that he works that way. So he edified his word with me by proving himself the way he said he would.
That doesn't mean crap to someone who isn't led by the same Spirit. So again, that's not me doing that, it's God. He reveals himself to who he wants to reveal himself to.
I'll give you a fact: That God responds favorably to those who trust him. So if you are wanting to come to God, that's the way to tell whether he wants you or not.
If you want to know him, trust him. Otherwise you are just wasting your time. Go do something else. I don't mean that in a bad way, I'm just trying to show you that you have the choice to make. If you don't want to, you will never understand anything about the 'evidence' that is available.

Evidence of God is not entirely based on scripture, but is also shown by creation itself. Note what Romans 1:20 says: For his invisible [qualities] are clearly seen from the world’s creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made, even his eternal power and Godship, so that they are inexcusable.

Scripture gives us a reference, just like we know through written history that JFK existed and FDR implemented the New Deal. And that Lincoln freed the slaves and George Washington was the first president.
Scripture is written testimony which is constantly proven correct through archaeology and other written accounts outside of Scripture that confirm events.

1. Christians believe it is the "word" of God.
2. history also backs up the scripture and vise versa: like prophesy that came true, and Jesus existence.
3. many Christians like myself had a personal experience with God, causing us to dig deep into his word

It is unbelievable to me that this earth and all of creation could exist without GOD. That is the reason that I believe there is a GOD. NOT because of the BIBLE in and of itself. The BIBLE certainly adds to HIS Certainty. Have a great evening and a wonderful week.

if you want physical proof go to your mirror, or to the deepest points of the earth where life exists, or even outside where god is present at all times always, though invisible and incomprehencible to us
God is the one truth
