How much weight do you intend to lose? That's the real kicker; if you lose more than, say, 25% of your mass, that's likely to really add up. It also matters (to a lesser extent) from what weight to what weight you go.

Location is also relevant. Some areas will change less or more depending. Shoulders, upper back & neck tend to be less of a problem, but areas like the stomach are another matter entirely.

If you have a given weight as a goal & the loss is substantial, best to wait until you get at least close to that weight before getting a tattoo.

If you get it on your FLABBY skin it will be off portion which your skin shrinks because that is not the same (space) the tattoo was placed in. Everyones skin is different. I have known people who were pregnant and their tatt stretched and looked fine after and then some were just gross. Personally I would not want to take the risk since it is possible it would look bad. It would be alot of time wasted, money wasted, your tatt would not be attractive and if you could afford to have it removed it would be ALOT of money gone, and then scarred skin. Good luck.

it depends on the tattoo.

if i were you, id wait, and let someone buy it for you as a 'late birthday gift'.

if it ends up looking bad, you could always get it removed with a laser, though it is awful expensive to do...

Get your tattoo AFTER , weight loss is recommended. or you might end up with a distorted tattoo. why take a chance?

Hmmm...it will be saggy like your skin when you loose weight thats what happens, but it will get better once you start to work off the sag.

It'll look funny regardless. Why would you want to mar lovely skin with something you're probably gonna be sick of in a few years. If you have to get one, put it somewhere where it's not too consipicuous.
