The commercials make it out easier than it is to get free money to attend school and college in the form of grants. The free grant money is tied to the family income and saving levels. The government utilizes a set formula to determine a need based on a percentage. Unfortunately, the most a Pell Grant will cover is $4310 for the upcoming school year. Depending on the flight school and if it accepts federal student aid, it might not be possible to cover the entire cost. You can locate it on the federal Department of Education website. Good luck!

Start with www.fafsa.ed.gov Then visit your college financial aid office to find out what state grants are available. You should also check out scholarships on the College Board Fast Web, which will search for scholarships based on the profile you enter.
