Do men automatically assume that women with big boobs are dumb?

I'm getting a little tired of guys acting surprised to find out that I'm intelligent . . . do you think it's because I'm a woman, or blonde, or large breasted, or maybe all of the above?

I don't dress provocatively or sleep around.

Meh, it's an ignorant stereotype...that because of all of your characteristics, men will assume that you're a skank or whore and will be easy to score a hit on you.

Just ignore them. You will find people out there who will respect you for who you are and not what you have.

I knew a woman once who was blonde, large-breasted, constantly biting her lip or rolling her tongue, dressed provocatively, and had poor posture. A lot of shallow guys hit on her because she looked and acted like the shallow guy's dream girl. Let me explain.

A shallow guy wants to date someone who's blonde and large breasted, because that's what society thinks is 'hottest'. A shallow guy wants to date someone who makes a lot of distracting gestures and poor posture, because they often indicate poor self-esteem or insecurity--the guy figures that maybe he can get in her pants if he's nice to her, 'cause maybe nobody else is nice to her, and she's lonely. And, obviously, a shallow ugy wants to date someone who dresses provocatively, 'cause that means maybe it's relatively easy to undress her provocatively.

Now the weird thing is, a lot of women notice all the attention that these women get, and decide that they want that attention too, and so they imitate their behaviors and appearances. So there's a lot more blonde, big-breasted, provocatively dressed, obnoxiously-gesturing, slumped and slouched women out there than pure chance would allow, because women are busy getting their hair bleached, their boobs stuffed with implants, their necklines lowered, and their bookshelves full of girlie magazines that explain how to get a guy's attention--ie, obnoxious gestures and poor posture.

So--stay with me here--some deep/sensitive/thoughtful guys notice all the ordinary women noticing all the large-breasted blondes, and they steer clear. They figure anyone who would change their appearance and their behavior just to get a lot of attention from guys who only want sex and maybe a status symbol isn't worth their time.

So there's an off chance that you're bumping into these 'deep' guys who are confused by the fact that you look like the kind of woman who's posing to attract male attention, and so they're momentarily surprised when they realize you're way too intelligent to be a poser. If the guy is only surprised for a few minutes, gets over the fact that you're intelligent, and treats you like a real person from then on, that could be what's going on. You don't need to change anything, you just need to show guys that you're intelligent, and everything will be fine.

It's much more likely, though, that either (a) you're just hanging around guys who are threatened by how attracted they are to you, and so they're using put-downs, pretending that you couldn't possibly be anything but a dumb bimbo, to try to make themselves feel more secure or (b) you're just doing something stupid that has nothing to do with being a woman, blonde/big-breasted or otherwise, like shooting heroin or training your pet ferrets to whistle, and people wonder how someone as intelligent as you say you are could do something so stupid.

If it's problem (a), you need to find guys who are more secure, or, if you can't do that, find little ways of *making* your male friends more secure. You can go positive, complimenting them on their intelligence or their fashion sense or their taste in music or whatever, or you can go negative, dressing a little more conservatively, not bothering to put on your makeup, and being modest about some of your accomplishments.

If it's problem (b), you either need to stop doing whatever it is that's so stupid, start hiding the behavior from casual buddies, or just get over your irritation and remind yourself that ferret-training is so important to you that you don't care what other people think of it.

I think that has to do more with the "blonde". There are more blonde jokes than ever. Don't be self conscious about your chess (or being blonde). Use it to your advantage when you can and step on those that try to take advantage of you. You will find that being blessed and/or blonde you will be privy to a lot of things that your ordinary Jill will not. Unfortunately, that is how society has pinned this on us.

I mean, do *ALL* blonde women with big breasts assume that all men think that all blonde women with big breasts are dumb? Of course not.

Men don't care if women with big boobs are intelligent. Most of the time you are eye candy. It stinks but at least you are surprising them... some women can't! :)

Some guys can be a*s's unfortunately it might just be the fact that most people judge their books by the cover so your appearance will affect everything about how you are perceived...
