I'm a moslem, I think christianity is a monotheistic religion.
In our term, we do not call christians as pagan (musyrik), although they are going astray, because their concept of trinity.
In Islam, christians are better than pagans (such as the magians), and according to Holy Koran when The Roman (christians) were defeated by the Persian (magi), the Moslems became sad; and when the Romans defeated the Persian, the Moslems became recoice.

I guess christianity is a monotheistic religion, although they are misled.

Unto you be peace. This will be along answer I hope I don't lose you I know my mind wanders when the answers are too long.

Yes in the sense that God in a plural unity. Echad from which the idea of monothiesm springs "Shema Israel Adonai Elohenu Adonai Echad" actually means a plural unity. Israel is refered to as echad. Husband and wife are refered to as Echad. It can also mean first as it is used in the Genesis account for the first day. The fact that the Shema has been used to declare Monothiesm but the jewish kabalah doesn't even agree with that just does not make sense in either the context of the book nor even the chapter. It is also grammatically incorrect. First or alone as echad is translated in other sections would actually make the statement grammatically correct. So from the very beginning we have confusion.

Secondly If you want to acknowledge the scripture in its wholeness John 1 declares that in the beginning was the word and The word was with God and the word was God and by the word all things were created . Then it states that that the word became flesh and dwelt amoung us. It also states in Colossians 1 that all things were created by him and for him. He, Yahshua, Is the creator.

God came and talked face to face with Abram. God spoke to Moses. However if you go look at the account it says a Messenger of God did and yet it says God was the one talking in Exodus 3. Seventy elders and Moses and three other levites saw God on Mount Sinai in Exodus 24. And yet Yahshua said No man has seen the Father except he who was sent by the Father refering to himself.

In Isaiah 12 if you put in the actual transliteration of the hebrew it says "Behold El my Yeshua I will trust and not be afraid for Yah is my strength and my song, He has become Yeshua. Therefore, with joy shall you draw water of of the wells of Yeshua. Yahshua told the woman at the well that he was the living water and that should she drink of him she would never thirst again.

Yahshua is the God of the old testiment. Therefore the Jewish people have worshiped Yahshua from the beginning but refuse to recognise him as their messiah just as it says they would in John 1 and the Christians worship him now so he is the One God even though he confesses that he has a Father that is greater than he but that they are in perfect unity with each other in spirit and in truth.

There are no contradictions there are only misunderstandings
Therefore Yashua (Jesus) and the God of the Old Testiment is the one and same.

Shalom Alechem

True Christianity is monotheistic, as was the religion of God’s people (Israel) prior to Christ. Throughout the Bible it clearly shows that there is one Almighty God (Jehovah as translated in English) and that ancient Israelites and early Christians alike had no belief in a Trinity. In fact, that word Trinity appears nowhere in the scriptures but that idea of a Triune god was incorporated centuries after Christ died and came from various pagan religions, most notably Babylon. That is why the term in Revelation, Babylon the Great, refers to all of false religion because of the various doctrines that began there and are still taught in false religion today, especially the majority of so-called Christian religions. Any religion that claims to be Christian that teaches Jehovah God is part of a trinity is false. The religion of the Bible has always been monotheistic.

Well, Christianity is a monotheistic religion but because of the Holy Trinity, many people still seem to confuse our religion to a polytheistic one.

There is only one God, but this one God has three persons in him. Three characteristics. There is God the father, God the son and God the Holy Spirit.

Think of this in the same way. As humans, we too have different characteristics. If I were to name 3 I'd say good, bad, and in between. But we are still one individual with three characteristics.

I am not so sure if this will help you. But I hope it does.

Peace be with you too. And God bless! Always!

A being that can be Father, Son and Holy Spirit all at the same time and yet still be one HAS TO BE THE SUPREME BEING. I think the biggest problem we as humans have with the whole concept of God and the Trinity is that we envision it as a human trinity. What you have to realize is that God is above Human capacity. Just as humans are different from plants and animals, God is like wise different and above all.

I am not a christian. I am an atheist. But I do understand how the christians think.

Christians believe in a triune god. That's a latin word derived from tri = three, and une = one. Hence a god that is three in one. Yes, it is a special addition where 1+1+1=1. Christians like to use the analogy of ice, water, and steam...all the same substance, but in different forms/phases.

The history of Jesus' ascension to godhood occured in 325AD at the first council of nicea, where this argument took shape. Arius argued that Jesus was of similar substance to that of god, whereas Ananathisius (sp?) argued that Jesus was of the same substance as god. Guess who won?

definite, the two Judaism and Christianity are monotheistic, nevertheless some have self assurance that Christianity isn't. Christians have self assurance interior the daddy, Son, and Holy Spirit, who's one God in 3 persons.

christianity is what happened when the chastized hebrews decided to make their own religion. then some christians decided they didnt particularly like the way the original faith was going so they split into different sects yet they all remained chrtistians. now they continue to brainwash their young and prosthelytize as many people as they can with their nonsensical point of view scaring the weak willed and weak minded individuals into believing their preposterous notions. for hundreds of years, they would just kill anyone who wouldnt convert. "thou shalt not kill unless some man tells you to do it in the name of this god." the hypocrisy is quite ironic yet the unwise just cant see through the bologna.

you don't get the Trinity do you?

the Trinity is God made up of 3 persons, not 3 different Gods. God has 3 "forms", each having His essense and each having the characteristics of a person. The Father (Jehovah) is one Divine person, the Son (Jesus Christ) is one Divine person, the Holy Spirit is one Divine person. I like to think of it like an ozone molecule: 3 atoms form one molecule, 3 persons form one being.
