Yes - marijuana can help relieve the pain from migraine headaches (not as much as masturbation though). I used to get week-long migraines and using marijuana helped about 40% of the time, masturbation helped around 70% of the time.

Migraines or migraine-like headaches can have other causes. You need to be examined by a licensed medical professional (if you haven't already) in case you have a brain tumor or other physical problems.

Migraines can also be caused by stress (and usually are). You might (if it turns out there are no physical problems) want to try taking a stress-free (or at least low stress) vacation.

There are drugs which can help but marijuana is not one of them. I have had these headaches off and on for 40 years. Some years I don't get one at all. You should go see the doctor, even if you have to pay, its worth it if only to get a real diagnosis! Also these can be hereditary so check with family members to see who also has these and what they and you should look at is what starts the headache. Often migraines are caused by a reaction to a 'trigger'. Mine is too much dark chocolate or processed cheese. I know of another person where ground coffee is a trigger. Whatever it is, get to know and then deal with it.
Be careful, as a migraine is often blamed for a prolonged headache but other factors may be there. The after effects of migraines often last a long time but are manageable. So please go see a doctor, today of you can. Best of luck and get well soon.

It won't cure migraines but it can relieve pain. One of the top stories on Yahoo right now is how migraines are related to brain damage so marijuana is probably not the best option.

NO

I've had migraines for over thirtyone years and I smoked pot for the first few years of that. Never helped AT ALL.

Try some imitrex or rizatriptan. They are a miracle.

There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis,
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success proves it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment. I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.
Avoid late sleeping if possible;spicy, sour, stale bakery foods and alcohol.
Sweet foods, sweet fruits, milk, rice and good sleep will help you.
But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it is very strong.

hmmm it could go either way. smoking dilates the blood vessels so it may relieve the pressure but at the same time it speeds up heart rate which might make it hurt more. it would be awesome if it did ease migraines b/c i get them and i'm a pot head : )
