I went to an all-girls Catholic school, no jokes please, and the nuns, yes nuns taught us about all religions in the 9th grade religion class. We still had our weekly hour and a half of mandatory Catholicism but we went over each and every religion that exists, we even visited a Mosque a Synagogue and various other churches! They, the nuns, wanted us to know and accept all religions so that we would not be ignorant people. The irony is that I am not Catholic, I am Anglican, my father sent me to that school because it was a good school. Also, my father is Catholic and my mother is a Presbyterian so we are all of different groups in one family, it's really nice!(Christmas is great because I get two of them, one on the night of the 24th with midnight mass as in my father's Catholic tradition and another on the morning of the 25th when we go to morning mass as in my mother's Protestant tradition.)

First I was an atheist, which was good, I suppose, except I didn't have that rock-solid belief that atheism requires. I then spent a year studying the "weird" religions. Four months as a Satanic, four months as a Pagan, four months as a Wiccan. Satanism was too fanatical, and not really what I believed anyway. Wicca was too organized. The emphasis on the feminine was too strong, and there seemed to be a lot of rules. Being pagan was practically perfect though. I incorporated some Christianity into my paganism, and I am now very happy as a Christo-pagan.

I have read a lot of religious texts as well, but more for literary purposes than for spiritual ones.

Islam and Buddhism. I am getting into Christianity.
I liked Buddhism very much. The concept that nothing lasts forever, of not clinging to anything, of inner knowledge through meditation, compassion to all sensitive beings. The unexistant division between yourself and the rest, not craving because otherwise desires become endless, etc.
About Islam it is very poetic, the respect and patience Muslims are required to give their parents, the importance they give to charity (zakat), the fact that they think about God five times a day.
Dislikes: in Buddhism, that Buddha never really explained where we come from. In Islam, the concept that allows some to justify killing innocents in the name of Islam (the surahs used by jihadists as religious backing), the fact that a woman's testimony is worth half of a man and that the punishment for a Muslim that leaves Islam is death (though there is no real consensus among the ulemas on this one).

in the Bible, here are some pearls of wisdom I have found

I have explored some 20,000 different religious groups from catholics to budhist hindus baptists and Jehovahs Witnesses and am very familiar with their teachings am Most Impressed with Jehovahs Witnesses as everything they teach and Believe is based solely on Jesus teaching from the Bible whereas most others are based on traditions and church doctrine and a few misapplied scriptures but when you check the origins of said doctrines they are of pagan origin and their works belie their claim of being christian and i wont comment on the Eastern religions that what decades of research has told me Gorbalizer

I studied theology in university, and one has to investigate many different faiths, and in my conclusion I found there could only be one true Christian faith and that was the catholic faith, and I have since become a catholic, and I still touch base with some of my old colleagues, and what's ironic about religion is they are still arguing over interpretation, and what is truth. may God bless.

Christianity,Protestant,Jehovah Witness,Wicca,Catholicism,
Islam,Paganism,Satanism,Buddhism,Judaism, Mormon.
I have done narrow studies on some of these and extensive studies on some of them. I have chosen to be christian yet
non-denominational. Herein is where my faith lies strong and I shall not be swayed. I believe in the Jewish God Jehovah. In His son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. I believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. I believe in Jesus spiritual birth, death and resurrection and that He sits at the right hand of the Father,God-waiting on the word to return for His people/believers. I believe we are to love one another as Christ loved and not to judge one another/hurt one another. I
believe that the term perfection in the Bible means spiritual.
I have read many of the doctrine that teach one thing yet command another, teach hatred, anger, fear, hostility. The Word of God teaches peace, truth, love, hope, grace, joy
and forgiveness.

I have looked into many things(and still am learning):
Christianity
Islam
Taoism
My family recently left the Mormon church. I wouldn't recommend it. It is confusing and heart wrenching to be in that church. It is very deceiving. And now I will be getting thumbs down form the Mormons on here.

i investigate Christian religion, because they came to my country colonized, forced conversions by the sword ( gun in later years ), killed our leaders at the time. I was interested to see what caused this type of colonization, conversion by sword line of thinking. I don't think all Christians are bad, just the crusading Christianist colonizers. We never got fully rid of these terrorists until aug 31 1957, took a lengthly bombing campaign to send them packing. Since the crusaders left, we have a 9% Christian minority, that is treated with respect, freedom of worship, and should they be financially challenged, money is provided for the upkeep of their Churches.
