Most people have a poor concept of faith. But they have blind faith that faith is the correct way to live and thus they don't have to think about it. However, you should not lose faith in humanity because of a flawed religion or that the writers or the Bible didn't quite come up with a foolproof scheme. Morality, much of the time, is based on religion or some higher power in our society. But of course this does not need to be the case. Everyone knows, but does not always admit, that we have more in common with others on the basis that we are all part of the human race rather than skin color, eye color, religion, thoughts, beliefs, indoctrination etc. Morality can be derived from this but it is easier to do it assuming there is reward/punishment after death. But as more people begin to question this, morality and ethics will be grounded in something more concrete such as our link to each and every other human being.
As for the practical side, it is really amazing to see human beings come together in times of need regardless of petty differences in education, class, skin color, eye color, hair color, beliefs, gods, goddesses, and other differences.

The whole reason we have had the beleif in "GODS" from the beginning of time , was to explain, or Blame, that which wasn't understandable .
If we didn't understand lightning, we had a god doing it, If we didn't understand the sea, we invented a god to explain our fears, The gods of the starry sky, the gods of the native indians, the gods of Ancient Greece and Rome, The Present day "God" of Islam, Judeaism, Christianity, and all the different ways of interpretations of what this "one" god really is according to an individuals beleif.
You are happy with your God and Have Faith Because You Beleive, it is the one unchanging Thing in your life.
So you see, it is because the real world doesn't always go the way you would like, is Why you have faith in something that may not be there.

Faith in humanity is risky - given that we are all sinful. You have faith everyday that the sun will rise, the sun will set, and that you will continue breathing. You really don't know why YOUR heart continues to beat, especially when we hear about hearts that just stop - right? You have faith - you just haven't made a solid connection yet. What makes you think that God is on a grand scheme? You seem to have faith in that notion. Do not get lost in trying to understand the mind of God, you never will. On the other hand, you can understand the heart of God and not become one of those people that have destroyed your faith in humanity.

Faith in humans is usually a mistake because we have a sinful nature. It is easier to have faith in inanimate objects--such as elevators. When you get on an elevator and push the button, you have faith that it will take you up or down. How much more to have faith in the almighty God--the maker of the Heavens and Earth and everything in it.

You're torturing yourself by crating an illogical argument. You seem to assume that either one (you) has faith in mankind and god or else one can't have faith in anything at all. One needn't find faith in god. One needn't have faith in mankind either. You can't assume the weight of the world and get bent out of shape every time something bad happens that is out of your control. Take responsibility for yourself and your immediate surroundings. Make the world (and mankind) a better place one day and one action at a time. Religion may offer you guidance, but please take pains to know that there are plenty of people who are decent human beings that don't require the concept of a supernatural deity in order to have a fruitful and enjoyable life. Explore your options.

Faith in God is different than faith in people. To believe in God requires faith in what we cannot see - and cannot prove. I agree, it is difficult and seems compicated. The bottom line is, do you think there is something more ... something greater, than what we can grasp scientifically or as individuals? Does it all happen accidentally or ??? I f you can grasp the idea that it is not completly and accident, well, that is faith.

Dont jump to any hard and fast conclusions. You gained for a time. Try not to blame people completely for their faults--look at their heredity (dont talk about it)..try to find the best qualities.Even your ability to comprehend spirit enough to grasp the idea of a God has something to do with heredity that is beyond your grasp unless you start studying pretty heavily into religious history, and not the kind claimed by any of the religions.

well theres a little Jewish prayer called Modeh Ani -- usually spoken in the morning when one awakens.
I thank You for returning my spirit to me, ruler of all life and all renewal. Great is Your faith in me.
Now this is interesting, because according to this little ditty, we awaken each day because God has faith IN US, that we will use the day wisely and in service of good things.
It doesn't say I have faith in God, therefore I have another day of life. Like God has a big old scorecard, and since I paid my dues God pays it back.
It says God has faith in me, unconditionally -- God has no idea what I will do today but gives me that chance
I think that is a cool idea.

Faith does not have to be religion faith stuff. It can be like: "I have faith in you that you will finish your work." or something like that. In this case, you're talking about faith in something that many people question and argue about. First, think about what faith is w/o presence of God. It's just believing that you would believe someone/something even if you're not sure about it. Having faith in God is saying that you would believe in God. You can't test/experiment faith because you just believe it. You don't need scientifical evidence to prove faith. I know this is hard to understand. Just think it as having faith in someone(just normal people) to do his/her job, work, ect. is that you're believing that person w/o doubt because you trust he/she.

Faith...
I am in social/human services... I have seen lots of bad stuff... this tested my faith... I ask why life is unfair... why god made things this way?
I learn to stop asking and start living. Faith will drop if we link faith to situation around us. But Faith is not about situation about us it is about the Belief that comes from within (ourselves).
Faith is about Commitment not Confidence.
