I'm looking into getting a LCD Flat panel HD TV set and i would like to watch regular/digital(not HD) cable TV and HD movies/games, but I heard that regular tv doesn't look good on LCD TVs, what's the resolution that I have to look for? also , does progresive scan helps to improve the image quality (specially when in-motion scenes)? also i would like to use it as a computer monitor, any info would be very appreciated also any TV set sugestions , or am I asking for too much ?

LCD TVs come into two resolutions: 720p or 1080p.
720p should be good enough for what you want to do.
(All TVs translate EVERY input to progressive)

If you plan to connect a PC, make sure the TV has a VGA port, or if your PC has a DVI port, you can use a DVI-to-HDMI cable.

It looks fine. Look for a tv with an s video cable input and you can hook up your comp.
