the whole 'be yourself' crap doesnt work?

she has to be someone who is attracted to you. And Being yourself means don't ACT a certain way. It does mean that you have to take initiative. Don't be shy, talk to girls, put yourself out there, try to be yourself, while actually talking to girls.

Does this happen to you with all girls or just a certain one you are into? Because being yourself really is the way to go. No one likes a phoney. eventually it would come out that you were trying to be someone you are not. And would you want someone to like the real you and not the pretend you?

You shouldn't have to wear a mask to get a girl to like you, actually you would want someone liking you for u, not who you are pretending to be. Girls are shy too, believe me, I would know. ;) haha, so they probably like you but are afraid of admitting it. And Also,
Not all people give guys a chance, not everyone is nice out there, and everyone knows that. You may not find "her" right now, but don't give up.
There is someone for everyone and I believe that.
Girl's don't like liars, take that advice and say whatever comes to mind, how you are feeling, and your hobbies, who knows maybe the girl will have the same interests in you, but it takes guts, and don't be shy, I'm sure you got what it takes, lift your head high to the sky, and be confident, that will atleast get you somewhere

Be Yourself -- with CONFIDENCE - maybe that's what you're missing in the equation. The "be yourself" part works; but if you have attached a wrong attitude to it, it gets masked, because your attitude really prevents your SELF from being true - so being yourself without confidence - is NOT being yourself . Because all a girl wants is a guy to be themselves, instead of lying about who they are.
A girl wants a boyfriend who is loyal and that they can trust.
Cause sooner or later, you will either come clean to her, or she'll find out what your really like.

Or else she won`t like you for who you are.
You don`t want to be a fake.
Doing and saying things you don`t believe in.
Most girls just want guys to be themselves.
I know I would.
If she doesn`t like you, then move on.

of course, be yourself, cuz nothing is worse than someone trying to b someone else (haven't you seen those movies? jk) BUT, agreeing or saying things the other person wants to hear or agree/like with will help. just don't say stuff you dont agree/like. i know the whole 'be yourself' thing doesn't work for everyone, especially me.
be yourself is just a generalization. it means don't act like someone totally different than you just to make someone else like you. if they dont like you if your being yourself, leave them. they arent worth the trouble of acting over.
