Hey, wiki says the original Smoothie was developed by a guy who was lactose intolerant, so they are NOT supposed to have dairy! Learn something new everyday.
Here's what wiki says:
A smoothie is a blended beverage made from natural ingredients; usually fruits and juices but sometimes other natural flavors such as chocolate, peanut butter or green tea. Many smoothies use ice or frozen fruit to make them into cold partially frozen beverages. They resemble milkshakes in the sense that they have a thicker consistency than slush drinks, but unlike milkshakes, they are often non-dairy and do not contain ice cream. Smoothies are marketed to health-conscious people, and are often made with vitamin and nutritional supplement mixes. Health food stores on the west coast of the United States began selling pureed fruit drinks as early as the 1950s, with smoothies becoming widely popular in the 1960s. (Brown 2005, p.3)
So there you have it: non-dairy smoothies are the REAL smoothies! (-: I've been drinking fake ones all this time!

I make smoothies without dairy all the time. I like to make one with orange juice, blueberries, bananas and strawberries. Often, juices in smoothies are better than milk or other dairy products.

Smoothies can be made without 'milk' products.
I think it would be helpful if you looked up the word 'dairy' in a dictionary!

They valuable can-i exploit soy milk. It comes undeniable, or flavored-vanilla and chocolate. all of them make super smoothies, yet I want the vanilla. basically a million cup with some clean fruit or berries and a few ice cubes and you're good to pass! I made a million as we communicate with unsweetened applesauce, cinnamon, and vanilla soy milk-YUM!

Yes, I actually like juice based smoothies better because they aren't as thick.

Yes, you can use rice milk or soy milk (they work well frozen). You can also use yogurts made from soy. I think there are even some recipes that use tofu as well.
