It's all a lot of nonsense--usually promoted by those who don't believe in obeying Christ's commandments to cease seeing sin in others--In fact Christ often warned his followers to avoid those who rabbit on about "signs"-& the end times"--so it's best to take Christs advice & stay well clear of those who dabble in the occultism of doomsday predicting!!

Here are the popular beliefs about the rapture:
1) Pre~Tribulation:
Now this says that before the tribulation even begins all the christians will be raptured up into heaven. But this makes a problem, if the last one is supposed to be for the....

The Bible ONLY mentions the second coming of the lord.
What the church world sees as rapture is false. There is not a SECRET catching away as some say.
There is not 1st, 2nd, 3rd and so on.
The Lord will return as a thief in the night. (Unexpected for those not watching for a thief)
Every eye shall see him. The graves will open up. (There is no secret there either)
The book of Matthew chapter 24 says immediately after the tribulation ..........And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven:
That's Matthew 24:29 & 30
There is no quick and easy answer to respond to every therory about the coming of the Lord. The church world has been decieved many ways on this. I asked a similar question a few days ago, to see what kid of response I'd get. Many views on this subject.
It takes alot of careful study to find these answers for yourself, months and even years. You'd get alot of answers in a few days. Matthew Chapter 24, Mark chapter 13, and Luke chapter 17 are good places to start.

The Bible prophesies 7 years of the Great Tribulation.
THere are three positions:
1 The Rapture of the church prior to the tribulation period commencing
2 The Rapture of the church half-way through teh tribulation period.
3 The Rapture of the church at the end of the tribulation period.

There are four views.
Pre-tribulation - Rapture will happen before Jacob's Trouble.
Mid-tribulation - Rapture will happen in the middle.
Post-tribulation - Rapture will happen after the tribulation.
Pan-tribulation - It will all pan out in the end.
See which it is, and why the rapture is important here...

Good scripture for cross reference is Isaiah 26:19-21
Your dead shall live; Together with my dead body they shall arise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in dust; For your dew is like the dew of herbs, And the earth shall cast out the dead.
Come, my people, enter your chambers, And shut your doors behind you; Hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment, Until the indignation is past. For behold, the LORD comes out of His place To punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity; The earth will also disclose her blood, And will no more cover her slain.

Premilliennialism is Christs coming before the Thousand years, Postmillennialism is His coming after and A-Millennialism is that the thousand year reign is now as Christ reigns in heaven. there are a lot of variations in each camp also.

Rapture is a made-up concept. It's not in the bible anywhere.
Actually, the whole bible is a made-up concept, but rapture still isn't in it.
