No, I don't believe so. We can try to be open-minded, but our perceptions are colored by our paradigms.

Sure. Just give plenty of Bible passages to prove those core beliefs and you will have the authority of scripture to back you up. Make a good argument and unbiased reason will be on your side.

No one can truly be unbiased because perception and presupposition play a huge role in how we function as human beings. One can grow in knowledge and wisdom and learn to appreciate the view points of others but they will never rid themselves of bias or become totally objective.

No. Everyone answers a question with the bias that they are right and their beliefs are true so their answers are going to be biased towards their own beliefs with less knowledge and consideration to opposing views.

on any subject where I have the slightest bit of information I am automatically going to be biased.

I can try to be openminded and view things from all sides, but as a human being I cannot be unbiased.

No!

If there is even ONE religion that you don't know about, then -- BY DEFINITION -- you are biased!

EDIT: Teri (below) gives a splendid exhibit of a bias in favor of the Bible over other scriptures of the world!

Absolutely! I love learning! About everything under the sun! and above!!! I am only too aware that the human brain can contain over 20 million volumes of information and that the majority of us don't even use (some say 2% of our brain power! but I say: "speak for yourself! I didn't spend my life in front of the idiot box watching junk food for the brain... and have been learning stuff, great stuff, every day of my life... At the age of five, I began reading the Bible and that has been my favorite learning tool of all... If I had to spend the rest of my life alone on an island, and had one book to read, it would definitely be it!!! As it covers every subject anyone could hope to learn about. When it comes to "religion" however, that is a different subject altogether as not one of the main ones out there comes out with anything that can even compare in the least to what Christ's teachings were all about! And I won't stay anywhere that teaches one single thing that's not in accord with what I've learnt in the only book on earth claiming divine inspiration... Every single lie they teach, I consider a drop of poison in my glass of pure, fresh water; and If they go to war, that's a big drop of poison, as it breaks the commandment not to kill; if they teach the trinity (I have known for so long that it is from what the pagans always beleived all the way back to Nimrod's days, so more poison to avoid; a rapture? same thing! Purgatory and fiery hell? same thing! The Abyss is more like a hole and Gehenna is final purification by fire, the final destruction of the one sent there and it only mentions this eventuality for after the thousand year of peace on earth with Jesus as King of the only government or kingdom which will be ruling from the heavens... and so on... so I've learnt long ago to go out of my way and make sure of all things and to fear no man to whom no salvation belongs... Only God has never lied and his son Jesus... As for the rest of us... puny sinners! I read at Ecclesiastes that no man is righteous on the earth... not since Adam and the Greater Adam, the one we call Jesus who was the only acceptable ransom which could satisfy divine justice as to restore for us what the Creator had and still has in mind to give us! with the wonderful privilege of gaining everlasting life on a perfect paradise earth and to finally taste what true life is all about!!! It's just a matter of time!!! And to show you just how "unbiased" I really am, I'll tell you this... Should everything in that book ever proved to be really man-made! which I can't even begin to imagine! but can't take the time to all persuade you of the whys here and now... as it took me years of digging and searching and reading history books, different languages, hours at the library, etc. (lots of sweat and even blood!) to find all that I did in my search for the truths, so yes! even if it all proved false by the furthest stretch of the imagination, I would still be happy to have learnt of the wisdom of that book since its secrets and great advise has kept me happier than anyone I see out there with only themselves to look to for everything and they are not happy campers, to say the least... Furthermore, the fruits of His active force or spirit are such powerful tools in my daily life that I can never doubt that He is and always will be there for me for sure but also for all who look to Him and call on His name for answers. Psalms 83:18 and hundreds of other scriptures in my older bibles, tell me that that name if none other than Jehovah... and I do love Him with all my heart, mind and soul as He, through His book taught me to love my neighbor as myself... and the secrets, the true secrets of happiness along with the peace that excels all thought... His peace as quoted in Galatians 5:21-22. Besides, who can give a better description of love than the one He procures at 1 Corinthians 13: 4 - 7? No one I've ever known!!! I'm sure you'd like to check it out for yourself!!!
