More info: he had hypertension. How does the body shut down in this type of situation (exactly what causes the death)? Thank you all for your responses.

The alcohol level is high enough that he would have been arrested for DWI if detected but not high enough to kill. An enlarged liver and fatty change are signs of chronic alcohol use but may also be seen with obesity. Chronic alcohol use also affects the heart and can cause alcoholic cardiomyopathy with enlargement of the heart. The presence of acetone and isopropanol is surprising. It might suggest that he had drunk some cleaning fluid.

It sounds like they got the blood by putting a needle in the heart (pretty routine in post-mortem exams), and the blood alcohol level of 0.15 grams per 100 ml of blood is a concentration about twice the legal limit for driving in most states. Judging things in context, it would be nice to know more, but I'd guess the person was an alcoholic, with alcohol-related liver disease. Really going out on a limb, I'd also guess he probably routinely had blood alcohol levels much higher than this, and probably had been considerably more intoxicated a few hours before death. Despite having alcoholic ketoacidosis, he probably tried to stay drunk after he ran out of booze and tried substituting rubbing alcohol. That, of course, is all conjecture, but not wildly out of bounds. The enlarged heart may have been from other reasons, such as hypertension, but it's also possible the alcoholism was advanced enough and diet poor enough to produce beri beri. Obviously, I'm just guessing, and this all needs to be put in context.

0.15% (pronounced grams percentage) equates to 150 mg/dL blood alcohol level. While this level is far from lethal, the other autopsy findings strongly suggest a chronic alcoholic that had reached the end of the line.

The decedant was drunk.

He/she also had a fatty liver, enlarged liver and enlarged heart. Those are common findings of someone who consumed a lot of alcohol.

The way the report button is being abused nowadays, due to supreme moral and mental laziness by Yahoo. Reporting has become the equivalent of being dragged out of your house, put up against the wall and executed by an out of control lynch mob. And they just allow that to happen. So you might as well abandon the report button altogether.
