Don't Christians have a direct line to God. Do they have to go thru "operator" first??
Or do Jews and Muslims have the privilege having a direct line to God ?

This question is made even more entertaining because Protestants make the same accusation against Catholics (all Christian denominations).

Well, considering Jesus is part of the Trinity God than we speak to Him. Plus, Jesus made clear several times that no one goes to the Father but through Him (Jesus).

Secondly, Allah is NOT the same as the Judeo-Christian God. Muslims like to claim that it is but the more you research and compare the Judeo-Christian God and the Islamic Allah, the more differences you will find.

Jesus is God. That's where Jews and Muslims differ from Christians.

Well for one thing, the New Testament of the bible says the only way to salvation is through Jesus Christ. God sent him here to be our savior, so to be saved, we have to accept him. Secondly, in the bible, Jesus tells the people how to pray to God. And in the prayer, it always ends with "in Jesus' name...amen". So that's how the New Testament says to pray to God. Since Jesus and God are the same person, Christians ARE having a direct line because they are one in the same. Think of Jesus as a clone of God. Same thing as being his son. Make sense?

Jesus is our savior. I don't know how more direct you can get. Jesus died on the cross for all of us. The ONLY way to the Father is through Him. God bless you.

Jesus is a mediator for communication between God and man. John 14:6 - "Jesus said to him: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

We're taught that we are to pray in the Name of Jesus:

John 14:13-14 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

By praying in His Name, we are asking the Father for what Jesus Himself would want under those particular circumstances.
