I think the whole reason that the 3 Magi were looking for Christ was because Zarathustra had prophesied his own return. He could be found under a new star in the east, wrapped in straw. That would make Jesus the reincarnation of Zarathustra.

BTW, Zoroastrianism predates Judaism and it is obvious that Christianity contains many, many Zoroastrian concepts not found in Judaism.

Many of the legends of Christ were borrowed from the myths of Mithra, the Zoroastrian god.

Mithra was born of a virgin; was killed and then resurrected; he had twelve followers... etc.

These myths had roots predating Jesus by between 600 and 1400 years.

I don't think Jesus ever mentioned Zoroaster, but of course that bit could have been edited from the Bible. I know virtually nothing about Zoroastrianism, but we know that Jesus was Jewish, and he preached to Jews. So I think it's unlikely.

If you had read the Bible, and understood what it says about Christ(the whole thing is about Him) you would not have asked this question. The answers are in the Bible. Read that.
