In the Book of Daniels (Daniel 12:4) we have the angel Gabriel telling Daniels. That in the "time of the end" or as some interpert it as the last days... That men would move about to and fro, and that knowledge would increase.
But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
What is your understanding to this scripture?

I believe that means that people will travel like never before (run to and fro) and we will be smart. We are more intelligent than we have ever been in recorded history. The last 150 years have seem tremendous increase in knowledge and technology.

This does not mean the end of time but refers to that definite period of time which in the Book of Daniel is the 70th week. We are living in an interval immediately preceding this period.
The Jew were in exiled for 70 years in fulfillment of Jeremiah's prophecy. The Babylon captivity was nearing the 70-year mark. Through the study of the Scriptures Daniel realized that the Jews were nearing the appointed time of their release, but saw no evidence of a restored Israel. So he pleaded with God. In Daniel 9:24 it explains the 6 things that were accomplished during that time period. You should really pray and study this one.
At any rate it is for the future.

Think about it. look at all the illegal aliens everywhere not just in America. people travel back and fourth for business, vacations and also constantly relocating. also look at how everyone is in competition for higher education. there also a lot more about the end of days in the book of Thessalonians and Revelation

All people will gain in wisdom and eventually all of them will get to heaven.
Sorry, we don't get out of here till the last amoeba attains enlightenment.
Judging from the answers some of the so-called chosen people are giving this could take quite a while.
Contrary to popular belief God is not going to let us quit till everyone figures out the way to get back home.
The fantasy about hell is just a lie about God that was made up to give a few holier than thows someone to feel better than. God loves us too much to let a single soul become lost.

i believe and have been to eschitology classes that say it refers to our air travel and computers and other technology. we are definitely in the last days, but we dont know how long this will be. some say it tells us in the book of daniel. if anyone knows, please tell me.
