Do you think that they should actually start setting up leagal street racing? Meaning they have a set area on certain nights or days where they block off and they have their races? And maybe have an officer or two watching them and making sure nothing goes on? I mean... Heck... People put alot of work into those racing cars... Just to lose them if they get caught... But if they have the same rules... But under more controlled circumstances... Think it would cut back on alot of people from gettin hurt in these?

It happens at many raceways. In my city it is Firebird international raceway and they have standings and stuff.

It's only safe on a track with a paramedic sitting at the finish line. At Gateway in St. Louis, they have a street racing deal about 8 times a year called "Midnight madness" from 9pm until 3am on saturday nights. They turn the scoreboards off so nobody knows what 1/4 mile time's other cars are running.

Also, every tues. they have a fastest street car shootout and there 1/4 mile times are up on the scoreboards and the website as well as there ranking.
