Scriptural typology is:
A biblical person, thing, action, or event that foreshadows new truths, new actions, or new events. In the Old Testament, Melchizedech and Jonah are types of Jesus Christ. A likeness must exist between the type and the archetype, but the latter is always greater. Both are independent of each other. God’s call for the return of the Israelites from Pharaoh’s bondage typifies the return of Jesus Christ from his flight into Egypt. In the New Testament the destruction of Jerusalem, foretold by Christ, was the antitype of the end of the world.1

Adam & Eve’s sin is repaired by the righteousness of the new Adam and Eve in Jesus and Mary. Adam and Eve caused the downfall of man, Jesus and Mary the redemption of man.
Genesis 3:15
Romans 5:12-21

Isaac carrying the wood is like Jesus carrying the Cross.
Genesis 22:6

Abraham sacrificing his son is like the Heavenly Father offering up his Son Jesus Christ, the promised Messiah.

Actually this is far more interesting if you compare so-called pagan and christian concepts and people.

The mos interesting is Mithra and Jesus.

The parallels are beyond coincidence.

I personally get a great deal of pleasure out of studying typology and find it to be not only relevant to cross referencing of ideas but an expansion of meaning. It allows for an almost magical experience of epiphanies into scriptural meanings and revelations in the Old Testament of New Testament truths and events. One of my own favorites is Gospel of John ch:1 and Proverbs ch: 8 & 9 and the Old Testament word for wisdon and scripture are the same basic meaning which means to listen to scripture in Proverbs and then cross reference the idea to John ch:1.
Typology is a wonderful and very enjoyable way to study scripture. Congratulations on discovering it ! There are far to many examples to even discuss it here but Good Fortune to you.
You have discovered a wonderful discipline for scripture study.

My favorite Bible typology is Joseph in Genesis 37-50

Favorite son / only Son
Rejected by his brethren / rejected by the Jews
sold into Egypt / came to earth
prophet / Prophet
unjustly accused / unjustly accused
imprisoned by conspiracy / ditto
rose to 2nd highest position in Egypt /
rose to 2nd highest position in the Kingdom
saved his brethren / salvation for all
fulfilled the prophecies of his dreams /
fulfilled the prophecies about Himself.

Genesis overflows in typology.
Abraham, Isaac, Jacob,
