Well why would you want to breed two dogs of different breeds for anyways? It indicates that you are breeding dogs for all the wrong reasons and not for improving a breed. You know how many mixed breed dogs are euthanized in this country every single day? Tens of thousands. Pure breeds end up in shelters at less than a 20% rate opposed to mixed breeds. To be real blunt, it is a sign of ignorance to equate dogs with humans. This is what PETA does. They equate the Holocaust to commercial chicken farms, ridicules and immoral.
Leave the breeding to experts, ones that do it for altruistic reasons. Do not support puppy mills or back yard breeders.

The "designer dog" fad is on the way out as people are becoming educated about them. You will find hundreds/thousands of them in shelters across the US. The "hypoallergenic" dogs they are promised are not what they are supposed to be. Just sticking a cutesy name on a mutt does not change the fact that they are mutts. Mutts are fine dogs, but people should not be paid more for a mutt than for a purebred dog. Rescue one from a shelter, instead of buying from a bad breeder. Someone who breeds these mixed dogs will never have a reputation for being an honest, reputable breeder. Breeders are only as good as their reputation. I won't shoot you for mixing 2 breeds but I also will not pay you thousands of dollars for a pup either. I have 2 mixed breed dogs and they are both rescues and I didn't pay a penny for them.

If we all just throw together 2 different breeds of dogs, eventually the pure breeds will be rare or extinct. Also, there really are PLENTY of dogs out there, more than there are homes for, in fact, so if you aren't breeding to preserve or better a breed, you are simply adding to the pet overpopulation. Also, genetically, you're playing russian roulette. Not a good idea- but I promise I won't shoot!

Why is breeding two different dog breeds bad? There are plenty of mix dogs. I have a mix border collie and australian sheperd. Nothing is wrong with them. And nothing is wrong with breeding two different dog breeds or humans being with different races. If anything the dog usually is smarter because of the mix and has different advantages over other dogs.

All about ETHICS
It's not the dog's that are bad, it's the breeders who breed designer dogs for no other reason than to dupe the public out of a lot of money.
Everyone wants THEIR dog to be something special, (if you don't you have the wrong dog) and adding "poo" to whatever breed they think their dog is seems to make them feel good.
