Yes, and bar codes are so 1990. Whats the new mark of the beast. I hope it has to do with i-pods!

I don't remember the SS# being the mark of the beast, but I remember the UPC codes when they first arrived in the stores.

Verichips are very in these days as technology advances as well as the smart card.

The location of implantation could be in the hand or forehead. They are using on pets as ID in case they get lost.

The mark of the beast will be a satanic substitute for the mark given to the 144,000 in Rev. 7:3. Without it no one will be able to buy or sell.

Hey it could happen. If we only knew.

Modern readers of the book of Revelation sometimes think that it must be written in a secret code. Some people even suppose that the first century Christians to whom John wrote Revelation could not penetrate its code, but only those of us who live today. Such is the nonsense that read tanks, helicopters, and computer bar codes into the symbols of Revelation.

Would a loving God inspire a message to his people in a code, which they could not understand?

In fact, the original readers of John's letters were not as confused by its style as we are today, for they were more familiar with apocalyptic writing. Never make a mistake of assuming that, because you don't understand the symbols in Revelation, the original audience didn't either - because to them the meanings were perfectly clear.

The book of Revelation spoke to early Christians, in symbolic language they could understand, about the situation they were facing, not about the situation Christians would face, 1900 years later.

The mark of the beast has to be one number, not 73 billion? Interestly enough every prediction of that dream has happened in the Bible, including Christs return, so was the dream just another device to keep believers from listening to a different preaching? Jesus sure was right about us, we don't trust our Father in Heaven to keep us safe so we seek our own salvations. Keeping evil alive by mistrusting even Gods own messenger.

It was just a fad that some believed in. It's like how some thought that 2000 might bring in the end of the world. The next thing I've heard about is microchipping of personal information and how some might resist it, thinking it is the 666 mark. More hysteria.

The bible say's the mark of the beast will be in either your right hand or forehead. SSN's were never the mark of the beast. Read the book of Revelation. I can see we are heading toward the mark today. I read that Verichip wants to implant microchips into althimers ( I know I spelled it wrong but spell check doesn't give the right spelling) patients so if they get lost they can be found easier.

Didn't pan out did it?

I chuckle actually because you now need a passport to come back into this country from anywhere so it's not like they couldn't track where you have gone anyways.. I mean really, everywhere you go you are going to get a pretty little passport stamp.

It's amusing that the 666 in the Bible is a typo--the original number was 616--one can only hope this typo is rectified with the next printings of the Bible.

It was replaced by a new technology as implanted chips. Think about, even today you can have them put in your pet to identify them if they are ever lost or stolen.
