What kind of people "observe"? Or would that be "worried"?
Sorry, I don't agree with your premises. Looking around isn't exclusively indicative of being "worried", but that was a cute attempt at pigeonholing.

At sometimes I am worried and look around. Other times i am sorry or just nostalgic so I look back. Other times I look forward. However, I have faith, but i need not look up for god is all around me and with me when i am doing any of these.

We must live in the "NOW".
The past is gone and we hopefully learnt from it.
The future isn't yet and will take care of itself...
If we only take care of the 'NOW'...
It's much like driving a car...
We can't just look behind!
We'd crash!
We can't just look around!
We could still crash!
Neither can we just look up!
We must be aware, awake and focused
Our minds on what we are doing... at all times...
and this is just what the Word of God,
in the only book which claims divine inspiration
tells us to do... Keep awake, keep your senses;
Don't make room for the devil to creep in
and take you with him!!!
Be on the watch!!!
Safeguard your hearts!
With faith, we can live in the moment and appreciate it...
As we know that God will be there to help us tomorrow as well
He feeds the birds and clothes the lillies of the field
And will do much more for us;
If only we have faith in Him...
Just the size of a mustard seed!

knowledged, look anywhere, be free,
of course worried people look around, they have a conscience and are always concerned for others,
of course sorry people look back, to learn from the past, and create a better tomorrow,
and faithful people can look up, it's their choice, yet, to take any step, requires looking down upon your footing, of course you could just have trust and belief in guidance of another male book babbling deceptive etiquette of crockery founded on greed without a conscience of lessons learned,..

I live in the here and now. Mostly I look within, but try to stay on the path that moves forward.

Skeptic - all of the above, plus turning over a bunch of rocks looking for the truth.

I look up.
And around. But only because I am curious. Curious people look around too.

I have "looking up" faith...
"I will lift up my eyes to the mountains;
From where shall my help come?
My help comes from the LORD,
Who made heaven and earth."
(Psalm 121:1-2)
God bless you!
