I live in the UK and I am going to New York for a shopping trip in a month. What can I get for under $1000 except clothes?? Any help is good help =]

NY is one of the most expensive cities in the US and $1000 wouldn't go far if that were how much you could spend for hotels, etc.
However, $1000 is a decent amount to go shopping with.
There is no point in shopping for things you can buy for the same price at home, so do some research. Think about whatever you might want and then use the Internet to compare prices for the same things in the USA. For example, stores like Best Buy (www.bestbuy.com) have a very wide selection of electronics.
Remember that sales taxes in the USA (9.5% in NY) are NOT included in the advertised price, so an item with a base price of $100 will actually cost $109.50.

Well,you could always go to Madison ave were all the rich people go to throw their money away,and end up buying a T- shirt for $1000...lol .. I'm sure you can find some thing reasonable here in New York. Good Luck!

not much $1000 don't go very far in new york
city. you can get knock offs of everything. I guess it has a lot to do with how old you are and what you like. I think memories are the best things to buy so just go and try to do as much as you can in the time you have. There is great food, clubs/bars, plays/musicals, hotels, you name it new york has it. Great place to visit. have fun
