I've heard that it makes a difference whether you do cardio first, or weight/regular exercises and such first. Is that true? And if I'm looking to lose weight and build muscle, which should I do first? Also, any suggestions for a good way to get amazing abs by early June?

you want to do a short warm up for 10-15 minutes on the treadmill etc. then do your weight training. finish up with the remainder of your cardio workout.

the body only has so much glycogen (stored sugar in the muscle and liver) to use during intense exercise. if that is depleted first with cardio the resistance training workout will suffer.

I do cardio after weight lifting since my main focus is weight lifting. I tried doing cardio first, but the intesity of my workouts declined. However, doing cardio second did not suffer. For cardio I do no less than 45 minutes, 3 times a week.

Building muscles does not equate to loosing weight as muscles are heavier than fat. Working out your muscles will certainly tone your body to the point that fat is lost and muscles are more pronounced. The more you work out specially with weight lifting the more muscle you will build so it is possible that you could actually gain more weight if you excessively lift weights.

Workout should be cardio, then lift wieghts... Thats how I always did it at least.
