Emphatically, yes.
All things must evolve or they are washed away thru time.
All religious organizations have evolved, some for the better and some for the worst.
Your inner heart can tell you which religions have evolved one way or the other.
If "Wisdom" dawns in man, man should come to an understanding that all religions are derived from the same roots. Basically they are all the same. No religion is good or bad, it is the organization behind them that are manipulative
and often filled with illusion.
Finally, let your conscience and your heart be your guide as
to which one you choose as a roadmap in your life!
Peace be with you!

Yes, they are. If you go back and take a look at the evolution of the Catholic church, from foundation of St. Peter, through the crusades, continuing through the Protestant reformation, and into today, you will see that a religion continually reinvents itself in order to remain relevant to the community at large.

I would say yes, natural selection of a kind applies to religion, those religions that are better at keeping and making converts grow and those that don't eventually disappear.

Yes, the social aspect does but the divine aspect does not. The Church is divine revelation and inspiration. The people change but the Word of God does not, nor does his teachings.
