I'd eat a breakfast bar in the morning, for lunch - a sandwich, and I'd have chicken and shrimp on the salad. And have no chips, candy, or soda just water. I'm just wondering because I want to lose about 5 pounds in 2 weeks. But I'm not sure if thats possible by doing this everyday. Any other suggestions, would be good too!

Probably not much. Just eating salad isn't enough food to keep your metabolism going. When you don't consume enough calories your body can go into starvation mode. Starvation mode will stall or prevent weight loss.

It's great to eat salad and walk every night, but you need more food!!

Edited to follow up on what you said...
A breakfast bar is ok for breakfast, but pick one that's high in protein, and less calories. You can also have another protein item in the morning and a fruit. For lunch you could have a salad with your sandwich. How about a mid day snack? Try a protein and a fruit. A salad with some protein is great for dinner. You should also throw some extra veggies in. Don't forget about a fat serving each day!

You walk a mile each day. Listen to your body. If it tells you it's hungry then feed it with a lean protein.

Be sure to drink up on the water!!
Remember that a healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week!

It depends on how much other food you forego, your metabolism, how heavy you are, and how fast you walk.
If you eat more than you burn, then first you come down to eating and not gaining, the weight loss comes from the balance point downward.

Eat 1000 fewer calories daily, 3 1/2 lbs a week.
Walk a fast mile, about 150 calories, another 1/2 pound.

Though most folks with a high metabolism are not usually in need of weight loss.

This kind of activity will lose about 1-4 lbs a week. When you add lbs for years, you can't expect to take it off quickly in days or weeks.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!

It would also depend on what else you ate during the day, your other activities, etc. But regardless, that's a good thing to do, especially the walk. However, if you're eating all your meals comparable to just the salad for dinner, you probably need to add a little more food. You will see results though. Good luck.

What are you eating the rest of the day? Screw walking...RUN or JOG. Walking hardly burns any calories at all.

Me, at 21/m at 183 pounds at 6 foot 1 inches only burns around 200 calories for RUNNING a mile. So if you are just walking...you arent doing much of anything. You need at least 30 - 45 minutes of quality running a day to notice a difference.

Eat a salad, and dont be afraid of GRILLED chicken breast or baked fish on that salad. they are your friends and you can eat them all day long without worry.

the amount of weight you lose is entirely dependant upon your exercise and your metabolism. give it a shot.

first off breakfast and lunch should be taken into consideration, then the age and metabolism of the person should be also taken into consideration as well, but overall 5-8 pounds can be lost.

I dont think its a good diet to cut off eating too much. you need certain foods in you. and it would depend on many things how much you would lose.
