I believe that Jesus is fully God, and fully man and that over 2000 years ago he came was crucified for the sins of the world. So that whosoever would believe in him could be saved.
Now I was an athiest most of my teenage years, but got saved and excepted Jesus in 1999.
Everything was great for awhile, I read most of my bible, prayed constantly, and thought everything was great!
In the past couple of years though, I've noticed that things have changed. I cuss way too much, and I lie, judge other people, watch rated R movies, break traffic laws, and I lust alot too.
Also, I only seem to pray when I'm sad, worried, or something bad is about to happen to me. I only get to church about one sunday a month, and I seldom read my bible, except like I said when something bad is going on in my life.
See my fear is that I'm like the seed that falls on the shallow soil, it grows for awhile, but then it dies.
So am I screwed, what can I do to get back to living a more Godly life.

you have already taken the first step to finding your way back to where you should be.
the thing is you just come out of the honeymoon period.
similar to a marriage.
if you want to make it work, then you have to start to working at renewing your relationship.
there are a lot of things that are still waiting for you to experience.
Good has great things in store for you, and now is when the journey starts to get interesting.
it is time to get involved with the youth group, if your church doesn't have one, find one in your town, you do not have to change churches, unless you want to.
find some Christian music that you like and listen to it more often, let the music feed your spirit.

you are human.. if ur going to hell then likely a huge portion of the world's population is goin right along with ya. I believe in God.. but i do not believe that i need to go to any certain building (any sort of temple of worship) to make my beliefs any more valued, meaningful. I go to church at Christmas, Easter, weddings and funerals. As a child i would go with family to church ever sunday, and i know who i am as an individual.. i know i am a good person even though i have made my fair share of mistakes, used poor judgement at times. Everybody , no matter how religious they claim to be has one time or more done something that someone may say is a sin.. it's what u learn in life i believe.. ur self as a whole , they way you treat others and what you have learned that matters i think. And as far as hell goes.. i think we're all right there right now.. everyone goes through their difficulties in life.. if you think ur screwed, then oh my goodness.. i'm screwed, my kids are already screwed, my parents, cousins neighbours, aunts and uncles my friends , coworkers all of us are gonna end up in hell.. if ur the one perfect chosen one that makes it to heaven.. be sure to send us all a msg .. I am not tryin to make fun.. am trying to get my point across.. if you really wanna make a difference.. look at the hell on the news we all see every day.. is a shame people do not worry as much about the hell we are in right now rather than fear what may or may not come. enjoy what we all have .. take care.

Did you think the devil was ever going to leave you alone? This is a battle ground my Christian friend.
The battle did not end when you gave your life to Jesus our Lord. Your battle actually began. Don't be surprise about your backsliding and feelings of self-condemnation. Remember the story of how Jesus calmed the sea? Read that story again, this time you're in the boat of life with Jesus going to the other side. You will reach the other side if you place your trust and FEAR in Jesus. Jesus rebuked the storm just like He rebuked the demons possessing people in His day. He can and will rebuke your demons and bring great peace again, like sun light into your dark soul. Do like the disciples and go to Him.

I will also remind you of the prodigal son---- Read it in Luke 15:11--24. Read Revelation 3:14---22. And finally go back to your first love---- to the One you use to meet with and to the things you used to do. Revelation 2:4,5. Hope this helps. God bless you. I guess you just have to take steps to live better. I suggest you fast (not neccessarily food): fasting brings about discipline, and if you can handle a big fast like 30 days without food (ease into it first, eat less and less for a while then only drink water), then you can handle something smaller like holding your tongue.

Hell is not a guarantee for you. if you want to stay with God, then I doubt you're like the short-timers (seed in shallow soil).
I suggest you try and get your life on track. let the Spirit guide you, and trust in God. but hope isn't lost. I'll pray.

Don't worry...many Christians go through a "drought". A time in your life when you don't feel close to God and you are living by the world's standards instead of God's.

My advise to you would be to find a group of believers to join: a church, small group, etc. Try to find someone who will hold you accountable for your actions. Spend time in the Word, in prayer, and in Christian Fellowship.

I speak from experience when I tell you that God will break you to bring you back to Him, but you've realized that your life needs to change on your own and I pray that you will find your way back to Him soon.

You can send me an e-mail if you want to talk more.

Was this a true conversion or just emotionalism (yeah that is in the church too) on your part?

Most who experience a true conversion don't turn back.

Perhaps you are having a dry spell, this can happen mainly because you left God (He never leaves us), your first love.

Try these:

Try and remember how it was when you were walking in fellowship with the Lord

Repent of the unconfessed sins that have piled up in your life,

Go back to the first works, that is ask God to fill you with His Holy Spirit, then believe it has been done,

Remember Simon Peter returned to the Lord confessing and forsaking his sin.

Saved means that you believe all that you already mentioned but you have to pray to ask God into your heart, too. So if you have done that, then there is no way out of salvation, okay? You can't escape it! God won't let you out of his hand, if he did, he woldn't be a very powerful God then would he? And yes there IS a hell. But i encourage you to get back onto track and live the life God wants you to. Remember you are a witness to those around you! (Actions speak louder than words) I'll pray!

You're not gonna go to hell if you repent of your sins.Just try and read the bible more and pray more. Set a time each day specifically for that, make it a priority. I like to read my bible at night when everything has settled down. Talk to Him and ask what more can you do. His grace will help you but you have to change on your own. Everyone slips sometimes just get back at it and you'll be fine.

Yes, you are going to hell. Do not pass heaven, do not collect $200.

Of course, you can change your life and become a better person. Pray for forgiveness and go back to a more Christ-like life. We all have ups and downs. It is part of the human experience. But Jesus atoned for our sins, so we have a chance to be forgiven and do better.

Good luck.

God is not real to you right now. Jesus said to worship his father Jehovah. Nobody's perfect but we can't only be holy when things get bad. And also, you're off the hook as far as the hell thing goes. Would a loving God REALLY send you to burn forever? The one false religon teaches about would but not Jehovah. There is no hell. :D
