How is air getting into the head of the water section of the Hamworthy marine air compressor?

A lot of air is getting into the cooling water of the Hamworthy air comp. The water pump and suply apears to be in perfect condition. Could there be a leak in the first stage liner ????
Any other ideas ??? She has to be blead for ^ seconds every 20 minutes!!!

Seems like you must have a leaky seal or gasket between the air and water sides of the unit. The air is at higher pressure than the water, so a leak would go from air to water side.
