My mother and sister tried that diet.The main result was gas.They noticed a little weight loss but mainly the gas. I make a lot of soup but I add potato slices,green beans,corn.broccoli and cauliflower along with the cabbage and find it to be healthy and keep my weight down.

The cabbage soup diet will only work if you plan to eat nothing but cabbage soup the rest of your life. And yes everyone I know who has been on it ( which is a lot since I work in the weight loss industry) has had symptoms of gas, diarrhea and so forth. That is kind of the entire point of the plan. It is not a healthy plan just a quick fix for about 3 days. I would not suggest it.

You should not try it. It's not beneficial to your body. I can't stand it either, it's boring and taste horrible

Cabbage soup diet promises 10 pounds of weight loss within a week of diet. It is true that you can lose that amoun within a week, however you must take heed of what you exchange in turn of your weight loss.

First, the soup ingredients do not provide anything other than cabbage. So you will be lacking nutrition severely here.

Secondly, unlike the lemonade diet, this diet is not designed to detoxified your body. So you are not getting any health benefit in return of your suffering.

Third, it has AWFUL TASTE. yuck !

Fourth, by doing the cabbage soup diet, you will laose 10 pounds of weight in a week. However most of it will be water weight. And you want to lose your actual body fat instead of water, don't you ?

I have tried it and it didn't help me lose weight. After the 3rd day I couldn't stand to eat it anymore.
There are better ways to lose weight!☺
