i do know its better to bleach my hair but i wish not to. My hair is not virgin so it should dye right? im thinking of dark purple...i need some insight!!!!

"manic panic" is good, but "special effects" brand is much better...i used to use "manic panic" all the time, but it was a real pain, because i had to touch up the color every other week...now i use "special effects" & i am very pleased with the results...i colored my hair 2 months ago & the color is still very vibrant...my hair is naturally dark brown, almost black, & i have simply dyed my hair without bleaching before, but the color was barely perceptable, it was more like adding a slight tint, nothing more...now the part of my hair that i`m going to color, i bleach white, so the color i`m using has the most impact...everyone`s hair is different, so i can`t tell u what will happen if u color your hair without bleaching, i`m just giving my experiences with hair color...but u should check out "special effects", u can find it at hot topic in your local mall, or online from ebay...here`s their website...

I am now a blonde, but when I had medium brown hair I used Manic Panic. The colour I used was cotton candy pink (I'm not sure if that's the exact name of the product, but similar) and it came out pink, but darker than I had expected. Sort of a dark fusica. I've also used a purple from Mainc Panic, which turned grey very shortly after I first dyed it. After only one or two showers. I had to dye my hair brown to get rid of the grey!
Depending on the darkness of your hair it will come out differently than on the package, but probably still be noticable. It is possible (if you have very very dark hair) that it will just tint the hair and show up when direct light is on it. I think you have a pretty good chance of it working though, I remember my results being pretty shocking.
I remeber some of my dark haired friends using Manic Panic as well, I think it always worked.
I would reccomend sleeping with an old pillowcase! Mine was covered in pink dye when I woke up after I dyed it.

I have used Manic Panic on my very dark hair and it worked for me. The color is not bright but it still shows up. Remember that the results are not the same for everyone though. I hope it works out for you and I think purple will look cool.

Don't use Manic Panic. I have black/brown hair, and bleached it before using 'cotton candy pink' in my hair. It did not show at all, and will not be worth the money.. as far as bleaching goes, you need to go to a salon, and get it done, then dye it at home. I would suggest you not use Manic Panic at all.. Speacial FX works better, and lasts longer, with much more colours/vibrancy.

Why dark purple? How about some auburn highlights instead. Bleaching your hair will just strip the color so don't do it. Lots of girls end up with short haircuts because they bleached too much and their hair turned out like straw. I guess you need to ask yourself what look are you going for?
If you are going for shock, then do purple. If you are going for getting noticed and people thinking you are beautiful, try auburn.

yeah it will work but it will be a darker shade. I think it will look nice since you probably have darker features. If you want it to be like POW then you have to bleach it.
I wouldn't, I would just dye it.
