I will be attending this town hall meeting with John Edwards tommorow. The event starts at 2:00p.m., but I don't get out of class until 1. (I attend the college he will be speaking at). Is there any chance of being able to get into the room he will be speaking in? It's a multipurpose room, sort of a small cafeteria. Any tips?

Say you're his hair stylist.

Yes, I campaigned for him in 2004. If you get there early, just tell them you want to be seated. He may even be having a round-table discussion in another room with people who come early. They're usually invited to this meeting. Usually 10-12 people.
If you attend the college he is speaking at, you should be able to get in anyway.

Look we already had the Mexican - American war. Remember the Alamo? Though it may be unclear to some... a large , tall, guarded fence that separates two countries means STAY OUT! Robin Williams says it almost to perfection. Go wave your Mexican flag in Mexico if you are so proud of your heritage. Why do you dirty people crawl in a hole to sneak here ? Please understand that you are not welcome. That goes for all the middle eastern arabs also. Get the ideas and beliefs you have and quickly get the heck out of the USA. Now!

Ask the prof if you may skip class, say why. Or just do it, unless there's an exam and then ask if you can make it up. Get notes from a classmate. This is a one-time opportunity.
