To get top mioney you need to make sure you have all the qualifications for being an engineer otherwise it will be 15 000 - 50 000, dependning of course who & where you work and the type of engineer you are (e.g EIR etc)

First, it's engineer, and secondly, the career is generally referred to as an AMT (Aircraft Maintenance Tech). When you start out working it will generally be for a small piston shop and you'll make a little more than a mechanic in a muffler shop. If you get experience and move up to a turbine shop or airlines you're looking at around $50,000 a year for a decent average.

It really depends upon who you work for and what you are doing. I can say your average is between 50k to 80k.

I have been doing installations for years and I bring in around 90K a year.
