A positive T.B. test (presuming you mean a skin test) is simply an indication that you have been exposed to tuberculosis and now have antibodies in your blood. You will probably need to get an x-ray to rule out active tuberculosis, but of course that's not a big deal to do. My dad was around a good bit of T.B. as a kid, and every year when he got a test (he was a teacher, and it was required by the state), he showed up positive, so he always had to go get a chest x-ray. He never actually HAD tuberculosis, but clearly had been exposed to it at some point in his life, and so had the antibodies, which is what reacts to the serum in the test.
If it should be found that you have active tuberculosis, then of course you would have to receive treatment.

It depends…Some people show no symptoms at all and have a positive test result. In others you will see a red and swollen circle at the location of the injection. Also, just because your test resulted in positive doesn’t necessarily mean that you have TB. Sometimes positive results are seen because of a vaccination routinely administered in other countries. Regardless, the physician will want to follow up with chest x-rays to look for active signs of TB. If active TB is found then there are several types of treatment available for your doctor to prescribe. Treatment time varies.

a chest xray is mandatory to see if you have active disease, and you will require treatment, there are two drugs that you take for six months. Once you have a positive TB test, you will always be positive as you carry the antibody, so no future skin testing should be done, only annual chest xrays.

Depends on if you have the active kind (coughing, etc.) or the inactive ( latent) kind. I work at a college and we had a lot of students test positive for the inactive kind and they were still allowed to work so...
