Absolutely not! I don't see why any man needs to talk let alone be friends with there ex! I have a friend who's boyfriend was going to go to the bar with his ex once a week. She sat him down and basically said look I don't feel right about this, So he dumped her... but she was better off anyways. A man would make you stop talking to your ex in a heartbeat and all women know that!
Good for you!

It is important to discuss all things like that openly, and make sure that they don't still have feelings for one another. If you give him orders without discussion, he'll feel smothered or bossed around, but if you let him run around and be free, the opposite will happen. If you let it be known that you respect him and who he wants to or not to talk to, in spite of the fact that she may be an ex of his, then there should be no problem.

I think you have every right to do this -- I am currently aswell. Trust your feelings but they are often true. I know this from experience. If your boyfriend doesn't like it, tell him that he should respect how you feel about them and ask him if she's worth seriously straining your relationship together. I hope this helps. Good luck :)

Perhaps you should remove yourself from the situation that is causing you discomfort if they want to be Friends get out of their way or be prepared for much aggravation and sounds like you are gonna get a good dose of heartache too. Good luck darlin'

dont forget that feeling you have when they talk. your jealous but sometimes that's good. Say sorry to your bf and have a party and invite his ex with some other of his male friends and a couple female, invite your female friends and a couple close male. have a blast with your friends but don't forget to look in his direction (don't let him know it though) , if he's talking only to his ex and not anyone else. he digs her, you should dump him.

its never a good idea to try and control the other person....remember when your parents told you you couldnt do something? you wanted to do it more! but if you have reason to believe foul play may be going on then its okay to lay down the law but explain to him why and also explain that he probally wouldnt care for it much if you were chatting up an old fling while with him.

Ive been there too gurl. the only relationship they should have is a "hi" and "bye" one. if they had a strong relationship in the past, then you definitely shouldn't want them hanging around eachother often. if hes spending as much time with her as he is with you, then its not healthy for your realtionship. if he still wants to talk to her badly then make sure it happens when your around, and then only. whatever they have to say shouldnt be private and can be heard by you. && she should NOT be talkin to him at times like 1:00 in the morning....
i hope your realtionship works out and my advice helps!

HELL NO ur not a bad g/f for that. You shouldn't feel bad at all for it. If you have a gut feeling that something is going on between the two, it probably is. Just do him the same way, or end it. Good luck.

Usually it's a good thing if you have less involvement from his ex. If you had to really come down on him to get that, though, don't make that a habit.
