You can worship any where and at any time. A moment's silence and thoughts converging on your forehead completes the process.

I believe there are many holy/revered places all over the world. For the beliefs we know, Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Buddhist, Hindu there have places to worship - churches, mosques, synagogues, shrines, temples etc. Others belief worship outside in a designated areas. Wherever you go, you are worshipping your idea of god. It is your own imagination. That imagination got from your parents, society, and surroundings. Even the study of some holy books may have influenced your imagination.

That is why Hindus call their statues as "Prathima". The literal meaning of the term Prathima is "in front of me". So to see the God "Me" is important to imagine.

People worship everwhere. In their cars, in their homes, in their beds, outside, inside, anywhere they want, wherever they are when they feel the need.

I'm a Muslim, and I've prayed on a rock out by the sea, in my back yard, and many other wonderful places. You should worship wherever strikes you with the wonder of God's creation the most.
