I would have to concede that taking one only each night will not do much harm in itself. These are commonly prescribed pain killers. You don't give your age or why you were using them at all.
Why should you actually need to take anything to sleep at all? Two risks, firstly the longer you take them the less likely it becomes that you will get of to sleep without them. Secondly, assuming it is the opiate effect of the codeine you are relying on, part of the definition of a drug of addiction is that there is a tendency to need to increase the dose.
It is likely that sooner or later one will stop having the desired effect and you will eventually need to take two to sleep at all and so it will go on. Is that really a risk you are prepared to take?

Since when does co-codamol put you to sleep. Co-cod's are pain killers and they are not good taking them for long periods especially if they are as you say the strong ones. Are these prescribe or over the counter? You should read the in close information. Taking these tablets over a long period automatically makes you addicted. I don't mean this in a bad way. From what you are saying is that you take the pain-killers like a sleeping pill. Be assure that long-term use of any drug is not a good thing. Taking too many pain-killer apparently rots away your stomach lining. I watch a girl take pain-killers for 4 years. A couple here and there but regularly. She took pain-killers if she had a cold or a headache which you would look at as being natural. Her new complaint is that she is constantly constipated and the pain-killers no-longer work and she suffers from ulcers where her stomach bleeds . Ask your Doctors advice.

it should only be taken for short periods of time but the dose you are taking is 1/4 of the daily dose allowed. a lot of people take much more than you on a regular basis but its a case of the benefit outweighing the risk really. why are you taking it and how are you getting it? its prescription only and if you are only using it for sleeping your GP should not be prescribing it long term. If you stop suddenly u will get side effects so you have to cut down slowly. no one should be taking 15 a day...the prescribed dose is max 8 tablets in 24 hours.

Hi I dont think it will bother you right at this very moment in time but I think in years to come it might do. People who have to take more than a couple a day for pain seem to do ok dont they. But I suggest not to take them if you have no pain in your body just to make you fall asleep.
Try passiflora from the herbal store they are great and if you take them during the day and at tea time you will get to sleep no problem, there really good, better than cocodamol. I take 2 of these they work for pain but I feel like rubbish and sick for the rest of the day, I dont know how they make you sleep as I dont think I could sleep the way they make me feel.
I would deffiantly think of changing your sleep tablets from cocodamol to an alternative, but dont use nytol its rubbish pure passiflora is what you need.
Just be careful and get checked out by your doc regularly as there can be all sorts of side effect with them. surely if they make you drowsy enought to sleep there not doing your body any good really are they. Silly

I was having alot of anxiety before sleeping and could not fall asleep. Had many many sleepless nights.
I was just playing with the program one afternoon and wanted to listen to the Power Nap track. Next thing I knew I was waking up! Fell right asleep without trying. After using the Fall Asleep track, I could fall asleep right away. But I didn't realize that I shouldn't be using that one all night. Switched to Whole Night and have been using it ever since.
I can go to sleep with ease now. I just lay and listen to the sounds and next thing I know I am waking up from a nice sleep. I don't suffer from lack of sleep anymore. I keep an IPod with earbuds next to my bed and take it ALWAYS when traveling. The earbuds help block out ambient noise and the sleep tracks keep me sleeping sound :)
Reboot your brain & sleep soundly again?

The Codeine in Co-Codamol is addictive in large quantities but in smaller amounts they're not too bad for you. I think your bigger problem is why you're taking them, perhaps you should try sleeping without them
Check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Co-codamol
I found it very informative.

The best solution is to gain control over it. As someone already said, stop when you're getting there and relax. Pay more attention to pleasuring your mate--orally, perhaps--and avoid rubbing your penis up against anything while doing so. It will take work on your part and patience on both parts. Learn here http://EndPrematureEjaculation.enle.info/?76m6
As a last resort, some antidepressants curb sexual functioning with the intention of learning the pleasure of restraint after which you could taper off them. Here's your goal: the longer you can delay your orgasm, the more intense it will be. So it isn't just a matter of satisfying your mate. This is the main reason some claim stoned sex is better, unlike drunk sex which can leave you unable to perform (brewer's droop). You enjoy exploring each other longer. And remember, oral isn't just one place. It's all over, paying particular attention to kissing, and TALK about what each of you like. Strange how people don't talk about sex when they're the ones doing it.
