Your lawyer can get that information by simply calling your employer. You can also do this.

Why does your lawyer need the information of your workers comp insurance? Were you working at the time of the accident? You should be able to find out that information by asking your employer. If your self-employed, and you don't know who your worker's comp carrier is, you probably don't have worker's comp insurance.

Workers compensation insurance is only valid if your injuries occurred while driving in the normal pursuit of your employment. If that is the case, by law, the name of the carrier must be posted at your place of employment, usually on the company bulletin board.

Perhaps your attorney doesn't think your case is worth his time, and he is just telling you that to "get rid" of you. If you believe your case has merit, consult an other attorney for a second opinion.

You ask your employer.

However, it only applies if it was during performance of work (not on the way to or from work). I can't imagine why your lawyer needs to know that unless you were injured during a delivery or something. In that case, your employer's insurance should be hiring the lawyer, not you.

you mean the car accident occurred during work? if so, then you would go to your employer and they should provide you with their insurance company in which you would need to file a claim.
